I got mine with about 5,288 on hand. All I did was collect every item, read every book I had to my Lab-pet, and gave the Gobbler to my Eyrie. I didn't have anything in my inventory, nor did I play any snow related games.

I got the sidebar.

I collected every single day.
I gave the Brain Tree card to someone.
I read every book given (except the buggy ones).
I never deposited any of the items.

The animation was really sweet, I thought

...I just collected every day.

oh no. I still think it is 'throwing' snowballs and maybe playing winter games.

I didn't throw any snowballs!
But I did play Ice Cream Machine A LOT
And I got it.

Come to think of it, I played ICM once. Doubt that's it though.

However, I threw no snowballs.

Snowballs had nothing to do with it. I haven't been near one in weeks. Did everyone who got the sidebar collect everyday?

I got the sidebar. I didn't have any snowballs in my inventory, none of my pets/petpets are snow, christmas, or advent related. I didn't do any faerie quests, I didn't throw any snowballs, and I didn't buy or eat any snow foods (unless they served snow food at the "cockroach towers" neolodge).

Ok *throws hands up in surrender*, it wasn't the snowballs.


Winter games sound good.

Advent Items: I sent all of them to my Winter Gallery side (though I did buy the books and read them to my reading pet, AND I bought an extra tiki idol and put it in my SDB because it was cute).

Items in Inventory: Island Native Techo Plushie, Blandfish, Scrawnyfish, Waterfish, Broken Toy Sailboat, Poisonous Snowflake, Wet Snowflake, Evil Snowflake, Carrot and Pea Omelette, Poisonous Jelly, Tombola Keyring, Old Rotten Right Sandal.

Dailies: Collected BEFORE advent calendar. Did not do wheels or kiosks...just plain omelette, jelly, etc.

Main pet's mood: Joyful and Bloated

I can't think of anything else important. o.O Congratulations to all others who got it. Good luck to those who didn't!

EDIT: Don't think I did any Taellia quests either. She makes me angry. XD Oh, and yes, I collected every day.

I got the sidebar. I collected everyday, I had snowballs in my inventory (peach, poison, wet, yellow and evil)... and that's it. No taelia quests, no winter games, no winter food; didn't read the books either, but I did play with every toy the calendar gave (except for a couple my pet didn't want). Maybe it's one particular snowball (I had 5)?

Love today's animation... wish I could do that in real life! Also, I think it was great when my baby kougra played with the new year dummy and said "this is my favorite toy!" (doesn't take much to make me happy)

I loved it too. It was a beautiful metaphor, and a really sweet animation. ^_^ And the little pacifier was adorable. -cuddles it- That animation actually made me want a baby grarrl. Awww! That's so sweet. ^_^ I don't have any baby pets, but that would've been so adorable I would've screenied it. ^_^

I did all of those things and didn't get the sidebar. It probably has to do with collecting everyday, thats not fair though because some people are away for the holidays and can't access the internet
