Thanks everyone! I decided to send her over to a friend's account to battle the lab scientist. She is not painted royal yet, so I'm OK. Now I suppose about the time I get her... um... HIM painted royal this new customised clothing thing will make it not worth it. 
Definitely don't want to spend that much on a lab map when I'm happy with all the rest of my pets!
