I think it's pneumonasticmicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis.
x_x Don't get mad if I get it wrong because I typed it and didn't look it up because I was too lazy.
And I suggested hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia, too.

Actually it is pneumonotramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis(es-for plural)
It means (for those who don't know): The inhalation of a fine silicon dust often contracted by coal miners back in the 1800s and 1900s, for they did not wear mask for the most part.
P.S: I didn't even have to look that up. I learned it in 3rd grade all by myself. GO ME!

All I can say is wow. And since the over-sized words are taken, I'm going to try to find an odd, uber-short word to put in instead.
But really, you'd think that they would choose a word the average person can use in a sentence. From what I know the whole point of the Word of the Day is to give people who use the word bonus points for using it in an entry to something. How many of you know a kid below 10 (in the age group the site seems to be aimed for) that knows what those words mean? I heard the word 'pneumonotranicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis' since I was 6 or 7, but it doesn't mean that I knew what it meant then.

I can use thta word in a sentence:
"My grandfather died from pneumonotramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis, because he was a dumb*** and didn't wear a mask when he was mining... but I am alright, because I got my inheritance!"
See, I can use it in a sentence.

I'm just suprised Neopets didn't get sued for some of their sponser games. Ones a rip off of Pac-Man and the other is a gaint Plinko Machine.
I love scooby doo anyways so I don't care! ^_^

I love the show "Price is Right"! Anyone else? Plinko is probably one of my favorites, but I do like show others better. Bob really is a dirty old man though, LOL!
******
To keep this topic related:
Ablutophobia-fear of bathing... or bath tubs, I forget.)
Hippophobia-fear of horses, not hippos strangely!

I don't think they do Plinko on the show anymore.

I used to watch it everyday when I was little because my grandmother did and she watched us.

Plinko was one of our favorites games. It was a sad day when Rod Roddey died.
Anyway, do they still give bonus pts. if you use the word? I know that's what it was originally for, but it seems to have been forgotten.

They still do plinko, it was on yesterday or the day before.

No, no, I mean can the average kid use it in a sentence? The site is geared towards children, and only a few can even pronounce that.

That's 'cause the root hippo- means horse. The full name of the hippopotamus means river horse/horse of the river.
And the cradle of civilization, Mesopotamia, is so called because it was the land between/in the middle of two rivers, the Tigris and the Euphrates. Meso-potamia.
The land between two hippos would be Mesohippopotamia.
And when the Tweedle Beetles battle with their paddles in a puddle in a bottle and the bottle's on a poodle and the poodle's eating noodles. . . .
Oh my -- I just saw a fox in socks.

what does it mean anyway? its pretty long!

I learned that word from Recess (the cartoon).. And why does the word of the day have to be neopets related?
