Your inactive Neopets are displayed below your active Neopet once you click on their greyed out images.
If you have all your pets displayed you can see at a glance (well, with some scrolling) all your pets' stats.
BIG EDIT:
Your inactive pets are not locked on the page after you leave.

I went back to quick ref to do Fishing with my other pet and the page only has my active pet showing.
As was posted after me - Quick Ref is an oxymoron.

I have four pets and the menu doesn't cut off for me, but still...
EPIC FAIL.
It seriously makes the term "quick ref" oxymoronic...there is nothing quick about this page. TNT just erased any good they did this week (Rainbow Pool update) with this move.

I'll get used to it eventually I guess...
On a side note, how long does it usually take for a neopet to check out of the neolodge? My pets have said "checking out" for almost a day...lol

I don't really mind the page very much, but, then again, I don't normally go to the quick ref page. I kind of like that I can see all of them in animation at the same time rather than having to make it active to see it...if that makes any sense.

I do like the new design:
* It has all the Edit features in one place.
* Each pets animations work if active on the page.
* The petpet being beside the pet is a bonus - no scrolling.
* The notice section also is better at the side - at the moment mine only has the Neolodge sign but other messages would be if your pet is hungry or sick.
The only downside is that inactive pets not being locked into place, which makes it a little time consuming to view all your pets stats.
All in all, a nice change.

So far it's a 9-3, with most people who've posted disliking it... Interesting how these things work out.

Wow, they are slowly but surely making the site harder and harder to interact with. It is almost amazing how dedicated they are and how good of a job they are doing. Actually, overall I don't hate it. It's kind of pretty. I will miss seeing all of my pets moods/when they get out of neolodge at once though. But I don't use quick ref too much, so I'm not the best judge.
Oh, but wait. Seems that the new quick ref page totally break my internet. It freezes up firefox and I have to quit the tab before I can move on. Lovely.

Wow. Utterly ridiculous. So, instead of the simple, convenient layout designed to facilitate whatever you need in a few seconds, we get this convoluted, inconvenient wonder of inefficiancy where everything is streched out or shrunk, requiring several extra clicks and more time to accomplish your goal? Brilliant. Way to go, TNT.

I actually don't mind it. Maybe it's because I don't go to it as much. I pretty much agree with what Daze has said, so I won't bother reiterating it again.

Ohhhhhh.
Well, why didn't they just
say that?

I really dislike this change.

It is no longer a "quick ref". Before, you'd open the page and you could see the status of all 4 of your pets very quickly. (hence the "quick") Sicknesses status of all pets stood out, hunger status was there, etc. Now in order to see non-active pets you must click on each one, wait for them to load and then scroll down to see them. What a pain. Not quick, not helpful.
I could deal with scrolling down to the pets if they were all loaded at once, but having to click on each pet is irritiating. I did check to see if showing them was "sticky", but it isnt.

*cough* To be fair, it's using javascript. So you don't actually have to "wait for it to load", it'll load instantly. Yes, the picture may take slightly longer, but that aside it takes less than a second.
And I can tell from the mini pictures there's something wrong with my pets, because they're all sad (I'm a cruel, cruel person and starve them because I'm lazy) - or is that just me?

Surprisingly, since I'm usually anti-change, I really like the look of the new Quick Ref. Like it or leave it, the look of Neo is moving from plain HTML pages to a "modualized" look, and I think this fits in a lot better. I give it a 9/10, missing one point on ease of execution for your non-active pets.
That said, there are about a bazzilion pages that need updating worse than the quick ref. (See quest faeries art, random event art, entire faerieland map, old food/map/books that are competely 2D with no shading, non-flash games art like Dice-a-roo, etc.)
They should also get rid of some of those useless pages left over from ancient plots (Discarded grundo of prosperity, Statue of Darkest Faerie in Maraqua, Parrot that says random things from Mystery Island, Lair of the Beast, etc.)

Well to be fair coding and art are two completely different departments with completely different personnel. The artists have had mile long to-do lists for ages, plus pumping out all the new items needed every single news release... poor guys. lol

I love the changes!
...and might I add, this configuration makes it possible to have a fifth or even sixth pet without messing up your browser's layout. TNT has always said that they'll never create more pet slots, but they rarely follow their own word anyway.
