One or two of my pets are level 9 now and one level 8. The slacker I think is level 7, but I'm not checking.

So wanted to be on the high scores pet page, but I'll never get there :(

I started off with a lot of bad luck. So far though checking twice a day is helping.

One word: Random. :P Theres no telling, my strategy is to fish twice a day, once in the morning, and at night. Works like a charm!

I got two pieces of rotting driftwood and another breadfish. My 4th pet caught nothing. My lab pet is currently level 6, while the other three are level 5. I only try to fish once or twice a day though, so I'm leveling up pretty slowly.

Well now 3 of my pets are up to level 10 except for one who is stuck at level 8.

A Butterfish. Worth about 5k.

My Krawk is up to level 12 now, and that's the highest I've gotten so far ...
