Let's say you were born in 1990 and signed up in 2001, you would have been 11. You lied and said you were 16. So the year to start guessing at would be 1985. Start at January 1st, and work your way through every single day and every month. You can only attempt logging in so many times a day (5?) so it's going to take a long time. Even longer considering you may get through all of 1985, and have to start at 1986.

If the daily log in attempt limit is 5, then it will take you about 6 or 7 days to go through 1 month. That means it'll take about 11.5 weeks to get through 1 year. That's over 2 months of daily attempts. But, if you think the account is worth the time, eventually you'll get the right day.

that just made me twitch...

if i have to lie about my age (which i dont) id put the same birthday, but just different year. but since its too late to change it, just write it down somewhere with your password.

ive never gotten off neopets for over six months before.... how sad.

Well, I would suggest that while we can still get into any of our accounts, that we go ahead and record the birthdays somewhere so we can have them if we need them.

Also, I would suggest making all your accounts friends of each other. That way, if you get locked out of one of your accounts for whatever reason, you can log into another one and at least see what age you are displaying. That will narrow down the year possibilites.

Can you keep trying the birthdate, though? On the side accounts that I lost access to because of this, I just put random birthdates because they were side accounts. They are all friended by my main, so I can see the ages. Is there any lockouts if someone were to go from January 1st and go through all the dates, like you can only try so many times? I'd be worried a staff member would get suspicious and freeze it for someone trying to get in. I'd like to at least get some of my things out of those accounts. You'd think if it was from the same IP address, then they'd know it's your acct., though. :/

I'd probably get in trouble for having too many accounts, though. These were made back before they made the limit and then they changed the rules and said whoever had more than the limit, they could keep them, but not make any more. Then they changed the rules again and said you could only have so many period (which I don't think was fair for anyone who made them before), so I didn't use my extras much, so I wouldn't get in trouble, but I'd occasionally use them for storage. :/ I was planning on giving them to my girls when they got old enough to play by themselves.

I have one side (shared) account created for a 3-erson comic series (that is on hiatus). I just took a screenshot of the user information page and saved that.
