I've been playing that site for upwards of 5 years already. Sometimes I take breaks, but I always go back. I certainly hope there's enough spare time in my adult life to play.

I barely play on and off now. I couldn't see myself in five years still on Neo.
I may stay there, just so I could be a pillar of the Neo community. XD

It sort of depends really doesn't it?
I mean those of us who were playing 5 years ago, did we really think we'd still be playing now? Or did we just not consider it that much and just rumble along? What do we miss most from that long ago?

So many things have changed in the past 5 years, and we've all thrown tantrums about changes or saluted them.

For myself, having been playing just over 6 years in total, the general excitement has gone down progressively and I've taken large breaks but I always come back when I'm ill or if something bad happens to me. Neopets was a great escape for me when I was first sent to boarding school, and hopefully it'll continue to be that refuge for both me and other people, kids or adults.

I doubt the site will even last that long.

Definitely not.

I've been playing for 7 years in april, so I've no plans of quitting any time soon. I've allways liked the fact you can leave for ages and just come back. So long as you know your pw and birthday, everything's reet! I often go off working for weeks/months and come back to my beloved neopets and a full mailbox! I'll even pop on if I've access to a laptop.

So there's nothing wrong with leaving it for a short while then popping back on. So long as you remember to log on once in a while, it's all there for you to come back to.

This sounds strange, but I hope I won't be playing anywhere near as much as I do now in 5 years. The reason I play so much is because I've been ill over the past couple years, and playing Neopets is one of the few things I've been able to do, and it's given me a distraction from my illness. I'd like to think that in 5 years time I'll be well enough to have a job or be back in education. Also, I'm getting married in August, and in 5 years time I hope to have a baby taking up my time :)

Saying that though, unless Neopets changes drastically over the next 5 years, or if my main account is frozen, I think I'll always log into my account now and then, even if it's just to play the odd game.

Neopets name: msmanicx - Premie and proud :)

August 10th 2007 - the day that I get married to klanluke <3

Hahaha, this question was asked about 3 years ago and some people said the same thing. And gosh were we ever wrong. I do believe that it will last forever, sort of like a fruitcake passed from family member to family member at each Christmas, and never ever going bad.

Oh, and to answer the question. Yes. I have already been here almost 5 years. What's another 5? Hehehe.

I've been here almost 5 years too..
It's hard to believe! I definitely remember playing and doing the Meridell plots and being all excited when the Meowclops was released and so happy I got one from one of my friends..
I stoppped playing for almost 6-7 months because someone got into my account and sold/stole everything, and got me frozen.. but I missed it. It's sad, I know. But hey, I'll be graduating college in 2 years and I still love playing.. :D

hm, this year alone I got two great periods without the site. What made me return was the the Daily Dare. So, ... I'd say, like some already mentioned, is safe to presume i will be semi-active as time goes by, increasing my presence only when there's something special happening

I've been on neopets over 6 years, and see no reason why I wouldn't be here in another 5. I actually got on because my sister wasn't checking e-mail but was checking neomail

Hrrrm. Good question... and an interesting one ;)

My birthday's next month, so I'll do it from there... I'll be twenty. University, part-time job, hopeful dream of travelling to Australia... I might pop back on from time to time, but nothing lasts forever, huh? And (hopefully) I'd've achieved my "realistic" neogoals so I probably go on to chat with my guild and stuff.
