It's got a lot to do with whether or not it is an item in demand. The Destruct-O-Match Stepping Stones are sought after because they are a furniture item. The Meerca plushie is priced high because it is a plushie, which is a highly collectible item. And same with the candy negg assortment. Neggs are also highly collectible. The dubloon, so far, doesn't have any real value, so of course, it isn't going to be worth as much as some of the other prizes.

I think tomorrow might be the first AAA challenge I beat. I'm excited
Also, the dubloon is, in fact, a pretty cool-looking item. I think it definitely has gallery value.

I lucked out this time and got a 100 dubloon coin, so I easily beat Abigail!
I'm STILL working on getting 2500 on DOM II... why oh why did I choose that one?
Sun Mar 04, 2007 5:09 am
Huh, AAA and Abigail both have Neopedia entries now. Not that there's much to them, but at least I can quit wondering what his initials stand for. Although I still have a bizarre tendency to read "Avinroo" as
Evinrude.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to the next few days, as I'm pretty good at those games and I'm 99% sure I can beat AAA's score. Bouncy Supreme worries me, though - I'm so bad at judging angles and distance in that game, I'd probably struggle just to beat Abigail's score.

Bouncy supreme is probably the easiest game on the site for me next to zurroball. The times I've lost when trying to get a high score were all due to staying up late and getting fidgety. I've never paid attention to the angle measurements, so I usually just pull the line just under the second coin. Sometimes I'll go ahead or behind a bit, but that's worked for me so far in getting 14,000 points. And if you type bouncebouncebounce you'll get an extra life.

And it might just be "hard" only because the learning curve is steep - once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy to get a couple thousand (especially with the new dubloon point values). So although it might be harder to climb that curve, more people might have persisted through it - it only took about half an hour for me before getting the hang of it.

Oh, I only wish. There are some games that I am great at (the word games) and other games, like Dubloon Disaster, that almost bring me to tears. It took me almost an hour to get those 75 points needed to defeat Abigail. My brain just can't wrap itself around the fact that the up arrow is forward and the down arrow is reverse. I look at them as north, south, east, west. A huge difference. So, I think that there are games each of us are great at and others that just make us cringe.

I had that trouble with Dubloon Disaster for a long time, with the directions. But I finally got the hang of it, I just never practice and get better because it takes so long. My time is better spent playing quicker games. But today I got a score of 890 to beat Abigail, my highest ever! I kinda wish I would have challenged AAA instead. Maybe if I had tried again I could have gotten a high enough score. Or maybe not, maybe I just got lucky.
Bouncy Supreme on the other hand, I HATE that game. I'm no good at any game where I have to judge angles and distance. I've been practicing for days and I can just barely beat Abigail's score.
But I can't wait for Itchy Invasion and Bruno's Backwoods Breakaway, I can beat AAA in my sleep at those games. XD

You should have had a practise game first.

That was actually pretty easy. Funny how I can't clear 1400 at a very similar game, Destructo-Match.

Woo! Won my first AAA challenge and it only took about 10 minutes.
