The statue is The Darkest Faerie.

Plot that came after Lost Desert was Altador... and who was responsible for dark times for Altador...

Then again, maybe theres a new plot about her coming :)

edit: And theres that Playstation 2 game also

If you look at the last frame in Comic 2, next to the piece of map there is a piece of debris. It looks like part of the boat or a splinter of wood. I don't know if this was discussed or not when Comic 2 came out, but maybe that's where Hoban is....floating on boat debris with the treasure map. And come to think of it, is that the weapons master's story? Kentari? Does this mean he saw the map and pieces of wood since it was in his story or is it just a random frame? If he did see this stuff, then he's obviously involved....

Yeah, but the Altador plot wasn't very "dark" IMO, at least not as dark as a missing crew member and a shipfull of liars (and definitely not as dark as the Haunted Wood plot sounds like it'll be). Also, it stayed contained in Altador, so what would the statue in Maraqua have to do with it?

Meh. It's probably nothing. I just have a lot of time on my hands today. :P

Well, if you look on Neopet's "Coming Soon" page (http://www.neopets.com/comingsoon.phtml), her picture is in that box that is at the top of every page under the ads, where it says "Coming Soon" in blue and where there is always something written that you have to really study before you can figure out what it says. Maybe because her statue is pictured there it means there will someday be a plot involving her.

That's what I thought too. Especially since the altador plot had to with the darkest faerie yet the statue didn't show up in the plot itself. Also, in the game didn't someone freeze her there and she escaped??

:o I've figured it out.

The statue is the darkest faeiry incarcerated by fyora.

But the darkest faerie is all magical, and has a firm grip on timespace, aswell as having given dr. sloth a copy of Pootie Tang, so she went back in time, wrote up a treasure map, and then the crew found it, and since the darkest faeiry is sneaky, she told them it would give them untold riches.

So now they go about trying to find it.

Until they are mauled by Darigan, as they are illiterate, and think the treasure is the orb, when really it's a statue in marraqua, and so they take the orb, [coincidentally, one of them is skarl, he's pretty greedy you know. keeping all those usukis to himself...] but Darigan blasts them up, and then king altador appears, and then helps Darigan to win the orb back [he think the idiots missread the darkest faerie's map, and wants to stop them from getting the real treasure, by burning the map]

so we have the merridell war, and darigan won.

then king altador goes to try and burn the map, but is unable to find it. the cyodrake's gaze has already set sail, with the help of the darkest faerie's magic being channeled through the grey faerie [why do you think she lost all her powers?] and so they sail the seventyeight seas looking for it.

Peace then reigns for a bit, until Kass decides to go for the orb [I don't think darigan was able to get it back. that or it broke] and so starts the everyonevskass war. Then there really is peace between the two.

OH, and the darkest faeiry tried to attack king altador, but instead missed, hitting darigan instead. Which is why even with the orb, they'll be horribly mutated for the rest of eternity.

So, skarl sent out a crew of his best men to go continue the search.

During the war, and I'm pretty sure before hand, anyone who was curious enough would have noticed that marrqua cleared up a good bit from it's orginal wirlpool state. It said that some explorers are trying to get down to the bottom, but it doesn't say if anyone made it yet.

So the darkest faeiry was making sure that they could reach her.

So marraqua was reborn, and as you all know, it was pirates VS marraquans. Why did the darkest fairy want this? It attracted attention to the marraquan area, and indirectly attracted them to the statue.

After the marraquan plot [by the way, the darkest faerie controlled the pirates this time, which is why we didn't see ca'pn skull beard] we ended in peace time, but the cyodrake's gaze was too far away.

Kreludor was discovered around this time, but the darkest fairy was helping them [sloth's guys] try to spark a fight, to keep neopia's eyes away from marraqua. If you didn't know, sloth is married to the darkest fairy, and they're honeymooning in some ice cream cake.

Now while the ship is sailing around the middle of neopia [there was no back] we had the lost desert plot, where Quasala was discovered. How did it start? The cyodrake's gaze. If you looked closely, there was a boat on the river. Tada.

The darkest fairy noticed them, and when Jazan proposed, she possessed Amira to refuse, even though she is madly in love with him. [The darkest fairy was very jelous that he asked Amira, and not her.] She started all those puzzles, and tried to kill everyone as usual. In the end, she possessed that big ghosty guy too.

So then the Cyodrake's Gaze was off.

During that time, altador slowly woke up [see: wind waker's Hyrule] and the warp appeared in none other than faeiryland, making Fyora think that all these weird happening were part of someone else's plans, someone very daring to open up a portal in on of her towers!

So yada yada, we had the altador plot, and the altador cup, as history repeated, and the darkest faerie was re-encarcerated [it's confusing, I know] and stuffed into an urn in the hidden tower.

So now the darkest fairy is hoping the cyodrake's gaze will be able to find her [note: they needed to find something to get her out of there, which is why it took them so long to get to her] but hobban found out what was happening, and so took the map, jumped ship, and went to go marry his life-long love, edna, and they hid the map with the brain tree.

Now the cyodrake's gaze is trying to find him, get the map back, and get the "treasure" which is really the incarcerated darkest fairy, who will get them to bring her to the hidden tower [fyora has no idea that she incarcerated her twice, and so thinks they're simply looking for an old relic of meridell conquistas] so that she can call upon her other self, and be the darkest fairy again, and defeat fyora.

jmho.

Also, what's this haunted woods plot I hear about now?

:o Now that's something to think about. :o

I can also explain Dr. Sloth.

He's Borovan's crazed experiment that was planned to be a neopet, but he escaped and started rebelling. And guess who made him do it. DARKEST FAIRY!

The murder?

Darkest fairy possessed the princess to kill coltzan.

The terrible two? Very curious mercas who discovered the statue, so the df made them into dung meercas who love to steal because of their love for Old Navy jeans and because they can never get a job, being illiterate as they are.

Pirates who can go through water?
Darkest fairy.

See, the darkest fairy is responsible for everything. :battar:

being serious now, I beleive the cyodrake's gaze is of oriental origin.
meaning we'll see a type of asia world opening up soon.
after that, we should see that cursed colony in the haunted woods.
and then finnally the swamp city thingy near meridell.

I'm guessing the oriental world will be north of altador.

maybe a three parter with a type of russia crossing into the mountains?

there's also a bunch of isles [maybe one will be japanese themed...] in a group, aswell as two smaller archepelogoes. there's those three big isles near meridell too... I'm guessing swampy will be on the coast, the colony in the haunted woods part to the north of the woods, and then... we'll it's anyone's guess. I'm interested in seeing a type of Persia developping east of the lost desert. Maybe neo will extend quasala too? or does the lost desert cover the entire desert territory?

anyways.

neoland is going to be awsomely expandid.

of course!@ it all adds up!!! im not surprised it was a fellow canadian who figured it out, good call

Sun Aug 27, 2006 1:52 am

I wouldn't be suprised if they actually did that ;P...

... and used it as an excuse for the lack of neoschools :P

Wasn't there something a loooooong time ago, that they had promised, but never delivered, other than tyranian land wars? I just can't remember anymore...

A new game will be available soon for the Cyodrake's Gaze:

You canadians should work for Neopets...

i think your plots have much more substance than theirs do...

If i were you i'd submit that to the neopian times... i bet you'd get an award... or maybe a job!
