OK I'll find a ghost meepit first - will there be a confirmation message of me getting the juice?

No, there isn't any confirmation msg, the juice will just show up in your quest inventory and on the pull-out tab if you are successful.

mapping and such

Here is my deep woods map.. I work better with maps.. this one was easy to do.

each pic has a letter each path in the pic as the destination pic's letter below the path. of course T in the picture stands for tree.

hope this helps folks..

earlier, I put up how I found my vines.. I was one of the people with very weak vine 1(icky) If I had gone left to right.. I might never have found the right combo..

My first step was to determine the relative strength of each vine type. Adding strongest vines first one at a time till I go the message it was the perfect lenght. after that message, I had to refresh to get to the deep woods.

Yes! Thank you for making that point so much more eloquently than I could have! :)

Also - on the Meepit Juice Break... I didn't finish the second round (I'm good at the game :)) but still got it, so it's definatly by score, not round

Stupid Question I am sure.... but I can not find the answer...

When I am in Haunted Woods.... how do I find Neovia? I have just followed the link from here, but several times it may have sent me back to the Haunted Woods, and I do not know how to find the link from there to Neovia.

Is there a building or a shop or something that link them together?

Nevermind... I am an idiot and just found it. *lol*

:D Yeah! That's what I meant before and what I did. Why spend hours mapping when you can spend minutes clicking. It is not noticing so much which ones you haven't taken before, but which you have. You should notice a loop of familiarity. Once you NOTICE the loop, click somewhere you wouldn't normally have the auto-inclination to. It is not hard to notice.

I would think that mapping would be so tedious and potentially confusing. Also, I can't for the life of me figure out why people would assume that a certain image is connected to a certain area since you can only go forward, not back. What if there are several scenes that all look alike?

More rhetorical questions. No need to re-explain. I have read all the mappers suggestions and my eyes can't fathom it, lol. You're very brave!

I wish I could have gotten by with random clicking. :x My deep woods just looped too much for that to have worked. For example one panel with 5 paths had 3 of the 5 paths link back to the exact same page! oh well at least I'm done for now! :)

Wow, that's funny my map looks almost identical, except I used numbers instead of letters. I even drew it on graph paper.

I used my map to quickly run through my woods picking up every meepit without retracing my steps.

It also helped me look for patterns like whether the path leading from one "twisty little maze of passages" to the next was the same as the one leading back to the first "little twisty maze of passages". (It wasn't.) Or find missing info (didn't find any.) Manatemuse's deep woods had 30 "twisty little passages" and I had 33 in mine. Kind of like the Tomb of 1000 Clicks from LDP but simpler. I heartily endorse mapping of you're trying to solve the puzzles, but if randomly clicking works for you... more power to ya.

That's when you notice and decide to click one of the other two paths. ;)
But glad you are through it and good luck to anyone still in the woods.

Ahhhhh the "Great Map or Random Click Debate" of 2006! :roflol: :roflol:

It's so nice to see how everyone is different in how they accomplish each part of the plot. I'm sure it helps many people who get really stuck! ;)

Tue Oct 17, 2006 8:47 pm

Hehe...I spent about an hour and a half doing that yesterday. I did it by random clicking; I'm too lazy to map. =D

I just used my simple memory, and aimless clicking. It worked, eventually. :D

Uhm, I know I wasn't supposed to, but I did the plot for my sister too because she couldn't figure it out (she's too small).
So for me I had everything mapped out neatly, for her it was random clicking. Random clicking won, I think it took me half the time, but I got lucky too. I'd suggest to try random clicking, and then if you're stuck try mapping.

Oh, and could the Spirit of Slumber really be Reginald?

Personally I really doubt that. Reginald will have to show up sometime...but the Spirit of Slumber should have been dead a long long time ago (how would the mayor know to call on him?).

And...yeah, I don't think so. o_O But that's sort of interesting.
