you are reading them in the wrong order. You should read them first by crystal color order (you are doing that right), then by the order they appear in your cardcat.

you should read yellow cup twice, yellow river twice, red paw, red river, red col, red fish...

You have the right symbols you are just reading them in the wrong order. Read them as the following:
Yellow scrolls - in the order the card catalog lists them, youre order is incorrect so for instance for yellow you would read Yellow Lat in Uncategorized Archieves, group 5 twice then RYellow Nem Rejected Marriage Proposals twice

your problem is that you read the scrolls according to your tablet... you need to reorder them according to the order on your catalog (top to bottom).

I missed that in the directions too, I was going by tablet order. Ignore my pleas for help everyone, I'm going back to start reading in order.

hmmm. thought you couldn't find colors. If now understanding, you don't have it yet. sorry.

Hopefully I haven't gone wrong. It really just seems that it's not there. I went through my yellow set and found them easily. It's the first one in the blue set that's missing. There are 15 scrolls in the Annals of Insanity and I've been through them all 5x over.

THough it doesn't go to answer the Annals of Insanity problem, processing the info above, I get:

Y: Kha, Nem, Djo, Djo
B: Ahn, Kar, Fer, Nem
R: Ahn, Nem, Djo, Kar

Without your Card Catalogues, I can't sort to them or check the locations, but hopefully this gives you something to verify against. I know when I first did it I slipped the wrong symbol in one slot so had to go back and re-do the scrolls.

I had the problem with the blue ben not appearing in the proper place, but that issue was fixed (there was a very rare bug that wasn't making the scrolls display correctly). So I don't know what to tell you about your similar problem with the Annals...

Hope this helps at least verify what you've come up with so far (you have to order them by your Card Catalog still... just a reminder there ^.^).

Maybe it was stolen. The Pant Devil is collecting useless crystals! Try to go to the Foreman again, if it's been stolen, he'll hand you another, it IS useless afterall!!

Perhaps the pant devil stole it. You can't misplace it! Try going back to the chef for another one.

If you put it in your sahkmet city, it's there somewhere, or the pant devil took it.

i got on another computer and found the city and placed the crystal. No light so i am refreshing and re placing the crystal. Is seeing the light random or time related?

It's a combination of both... It seems to be at a different time for anyone (no matter which statue symbol you have), but it will start getting lit at the start of an hour, so you only need to refresh once an hour.

I am a bit confused as to the instructions still, even though they've been somewhat clarified. (Thanks for the clarifications, but we could use more.) I have outlined each step along the way that I took to figure this out. Please tell me where/if I'm doing something wrong.

My First Step:

Tablet: SAF, NEM, RA, KHA, KHA, BEN, SET, KHA, BEN, DJO, KHA, DJO, RA, BEN, FER, FER
Light pattern: RRxYYYYBRBxBBxRx

This leads me to believe that I should have the following matches:

Code:

SAF, NEM, RA, KHA, KHA, BEN, SET, KHA, BEN, DJO, KHA, DJO, RA, BEN, FER, FER
 R    R    x   Y    Y    Y    Y    B    R    B    x    B    B   x    R    x


My Second Step:

I went to the catalog and looked up the room names. I won't reproduce those here because that's a lot of unnecessary info to retype. What I did was match up the symbols for yellow, the symbols for red, and the symbols for blue to their names.

I then ordered them in the order that the symbols were found on the catalogs:

Order of the symbols in Blue catalog: DJO, KHA, RA
Order of the symbols in Yellow catalog: KHA, SET, BEN
Order of the symbols in Red catalog: BEN, SAF, FER

My Third Step:

I then looked at my crystal and reordered each colored set in the order of the crystal.
Crystal: YRB

That gave me this:
Order of the symbols in Yellow catalog: KHA, KHA, SET, BEN
Order of the symbols in Red catalog: BEN, BEN, SAF, FER
Order of the symbols in Blue catalog: DJO, DJO, KHA, RA

My Fourth Step:

This is the part that confuses me a bit more. Which scroll to actually read. I'm assuming that the first scroll to read is a yellow KHA scroll in the room that matches yellow KHA on the catalog.

Is this correct or not? I can't seem to find a yellow KHA scroll in that room (Catacombs, Section Dust) and I've been over it twice.
