I have a December birthday, and I didn't get it.

Could it be donating something?- either all month or on a certain day?

But I donate all the time- not every day though- but I would think that I would have donated in December some time.

anybody else get something stolen from inventory during december ? My wrapped present was stolen. Thats really the only odd thing that stands out.

My birthday is in June, and I donate once in a while.. Who knows.

I probably donated stuff, but it would have been junk items, not any of the advent presents.

I don't think I had anything stolen, but once again, if it were, it would have been junk. :/

It might not help much but here is my info.

I did not get the sidebar.

- I don't have a christmas/snow pet or petpet.
- I visited the calander every day for 31 days
- I've looked at al the animations, some even twice
- I put all my calander goodies in my sdb
- I didn't sell anything i got from the calander, I did buy some things that where given out.
- I usually visited the calander early in the morning (just after they where released) but I doubt I did that all 31 days
- I have the let it snow, plastic fir a seasonal attack pea avvies but non of them where active
- I was using the haunted woods sidebar

I can't think of anything else but I have the idea that everyone should be able to get this sidebar.
I don't think it has to do with account/personal things like your birthday, country of origin, age of account and so on, because that would be unfair (I know tnt can be unfair, but I'm sure this is something you have to have/use in order to get it)

I know this is a reach, but maybe you have to *not* steal from snowager?

I'm still tempted to think it must be *something* that has to be in inventory.

Other snow-related questions:
1. Did you ever do a snow faerie quest?
2. Play snow wars, snow wars II, or snowmuncher? Any trophies?
3. For those who had no snowballs, did you have any other snow items in inventory, such as snow pizza, snow puffs, snow sandwhich, fire snow, snow brucicle, etc.?

It also seems that a high percentage of people who got it had a christmas pet or petpet, even though many did not. Maybe this just shows that there is something else that those people tend to do. Likewise the high percentage who had all of the advent items. It might be as simple as have an item in inventory with "christmas" in the name.

I am bringing this old thread back up because it contains some interesting ideas for the Winter Sidebar Theme.

I have a winter/christmas petpet attached and didnt get it so I dont know if thats it -frowns-

I sent a request to the editorial for a tip on how to get it. It's driving me nuts that we still don't know.

Here's a really silly, probably invalid idea, but maybe something could come out of it:

What if it's time based? I remember going on-line (well, on Neopets) at some point between 6:00 and 6:45 am NST that day, and while I honestly don't remember the specific time, what if it's something relating to the day itself, like "Every time the clock hits xx:12:31 (12/31) you're eligable to get the sidebar?"

Has anyone considered this one: perhaps you need to give your Neofriend an item on a certain day/time.

I dont know if it was a 12/31 time deal but that'd be an awesome though as I know people were getting it at odd times as a few of my guildies got it.

What we know it's NOT dependent on:
Browser
Amount of NP on hand
Collecting every day
Collecting at the same time each day you go
Avatars(either your active one or the ones you've collected)
Owning a Christmas Pet
Watching the animation
Having snowballs in your inventory
Account age
Collecting at a certain hour or minute(but may be a certain second-past-the-minute)


Some possibilities(activities done during December):
Using the trading post
Getting a Winter Random Event
Donating to the Money Tree/giving another user a gift
Doing a Snow Faerie Quest
Selling your soul to TNT
