I was just playing Neoquest, when I came across a Ghastly Priest.

Remind you of anyone?

I think you can't send your score anymore. Well, you can, but it doesn't register in the "Your Scores" page.

I think round one has ended. No one can send in their scores anymore.

Ditto that. I wish I hadn't postponed it till after dinner. I only have a total of 25 wins.

 You mean i finally get chance to play some games (and win 3) and we cant submit? Not fair

Just re-read the news

Round one of the Altador Cup starts now! Get out on the field and do your best for your team. This first round ends Sunday, 11th June at Midnight NST. Good Luck! (And don't forget to read the Tournament Updates!)

If I chose Terror Mountain, I'd want them to go to the finals because I'd get a better prize for not having to pick a new team. So if it were the case where you got a great prize for choosing a team from the beginning that wins the Altador Cup(which we have stipulated is the case), then, theoretically, couldn't most Neopians have gotten together and chosen 1 team to support to all get the best prize?

Of course, theoretically. (But we could never all agree which was "best.") It just so happens TNT already fudged the first part, where we could switch teams before Round 1 and then they switched some back and forth so much they are no longer on the team they originally "chose" or even wanted to "have to" now root for. Either way, of course we all want to go through all rounds to the finals and get the biggest prize, but since the beginning I thought this highly unlikely, even though it seems the best intention. Seems more likely we would all shift around, losing at least a game or so and picking the next best team, until we all get to the finals.

If the scoring really works that way, I just don't think there will be too many "winners" but since we can all go to the finals and get prizes just for participating, I don't see too many losers either. I can't wait until they divulge just how the scoring is working. All this time I felt a creepy bug. :P

Aww...I finally got the hang of it as well as begun to enjoy playing, and we can no longer submit the scores. Oh well, at least I got Kreludor got 7 wins.

I hope kreludor moves on...it'll give me an excuse to use the phrase "KreludOWNED!". I'll even edit an image in Photoshop to go with it if my team goes far enough.

Or, the other team could use it, because then y'all would have been KreludOWNED.

So, if i got it right, from the second round onward it will be crucial to get more people to your team.

Knowing Neopets, this will mean tons of people asking for items to join this or that team, few rich people bribing others...

and that brings that dark side of Neopia, we all know very well...

Im glad I got as many scores in as I could....

.... so uh... while we're talking of Darigan's successes... how many of you only hit the "submit" button when you won? Because apparently... you only then gained your team one point for your win... and some credit for how every many scores you made.....

... oh, and all you "Squatters'.... who make a goal and then waist time the rest of the game... are out of luck. Because say your team got 5 goals, and your opponent got 6, and you submit the score, you arent giving the OTHER team points for their win... you just played a Comp! You wouldnt recieve a goal for a win when you lost, but youd recieve points for all 5 points you scored as well. They arent as hefty as a win, but 3 losses with 5 points is worth more than 3 wins with 1 point.

I never lost a match... usually I closed the window in frustration every time I saw I was losing. Somehow the match is decided in the first minute, after that if I'm in the lead I'll manage to win, otherwise I'll keep getting faerieballs and lose.

This whole setup is somewhat frustrating. Say for instance in Round 1 my team won but I did not have confidence they would win against the new team they are up against for Round 2. So I switch since I feel the other team might go to the finals. So how do we choose? If I win in Round 1, I should be confident to stay on that team throughout, but what if I am not? What if I think that same team that just won will NOT make it to finals? o_O
