I think we should do it once a week or month or something, but vary the time slightly so that people like me (UK) can get something some of the time!

The point is that it won't WORK with fewer people, it was a struggle to get anything good last night. We would need to get all the british people and similiar timezone people together at the same time. How many people are from Europe on this site? I'm not actually expecting anyone to know that

6pm is the latest I can ever be on.I could stay up to 7pm on Friday and Saturday.

Some people think it's a good idea, some people don't. The only thing I would say about it is that if there are loads of non ppt-ers taking part, we won't know what they are seeing.

It is very diffecult to get a time that is convienent for everyone. Maybe at the weekend would be a better time to try, because people can stay on later/don't have work or school.

I think that everyone here was at EST or earlier. Maybe in the morning is better, because it's afternoon for some people so they might be able to get on.

What I would like to know is how MANY people we need to make a difference. I mean, we must of had at least 20 people refreshing there on Sunday, and a FEW good things were coming up.

Although you have not profited, this time at least, others will, and for those who do profit, even getting a single item, it becomes a scam. Doing it for curiosity's sake is not morally wrong, but others might not be as singlemindedly inquisitive as you, and encouraging others to do it is giving them an opportunity to scam people.

Like I have to tell my 8-year-old... if your sister hits you, is it ok for you to hit her back... if she steals money from you, is it ok for you to steal and ruin her favorite stuffed animal in return... if she ate 10 cookies when I told you each that you could have one, does her disobedience take away the rule for you as well?
Just because someone else did something wrong doesn't give you license to do it.
Just because the authority doesn't catch you doesn't mean it's right to do it either.

I won't be revisiting this thread, but I want everyone who is reading this to realize that if you pick up a single item from the dump because someone else was duped into refreshing there, you are profiting from someone else's lies.

It's a GAME, love. Remember that. No one is 'profiting from lies', we are all just taking part in a very fun and complex game, but it's still not real. You have managed to make it sound like I have scammed my way into a bank vault. Okay, I shouldn't have lied, but at the end of the day, who has it harmed? Noone? I thought not.

Excuse me if this had already been asked, but why not just tell them the truth? I mean, this thread was honest about people going to the dump and refreshing to get better items, and it got good participation. Why not just stay honest and do the same on the Neoboards? I think it would still be taken positively there and get people to participate. It's free stuff. Why wouldn't they do it?

They probably would, it was meant to be a joke thing. As far as I can see, the only thing I have done wrong is maybe poke a little fun at the ACers and try and prove someone elses theory right. I'm not arguing about this anymore. If you or anyone thinks what I did was wrong, then fine, I'm sure I'll live.

This is exactly what I meant when I said people are far too paranoid nowadays. If it's not hurting anyone, in fact, making people's (neo)lives better by getting them more items, who cares about a little fib. I'm over it. AT the end of the day, noone is losing out.

Anyway. Onto more positive things.

How about a big one this weekend? We have a few days to spread the word around, neoboards, guilds, whatever, I'm just unwilling to pick a time to be honest, because it's bound to be wrong for someone
