I don't mean to add to the complaining, but I'm annoyed. I've just spent the past 45 minutes looking for one more stinking vine. <_< I've clicked and clicked and clicked to the point where I'm cross eyed.

I want to map this ( Mapping is the reason I didn't do the LDP  ) but none of the ways people have mentioned make ANY sense to me. D:

EDIT: The moment after I posted this I found the vine. o.o Now I can't find the cliff. XD I passed the cliff over and over again when I was looking for the vine...hmmm...

I was like that.. spent 1 hour looking for a vine that was barely visable as it was in the bottom right hand corner camouflaged against the shrub and I could only see a fraction of it sticking out.. Now I've just spent a whole lot of clicking time trying to find my vin e combo.. and there are like 16800 possibilities of the darned combination.. Arghhhh

It's under The Tale of Woe
Many people are having minor panic attacks over the caves nonworkingness [yes...I have such a great vocabulary :P]

  I'm sorry, I really appreciate your assistance and I've done a search for "The Tale of Woe" but it comes up empty. Does ya have a stale slice of bread you could maybe leave me some breadcrumbs to find it with?

This is just for anyone still having trouble getting the Meepit juice and should maybe be added to the first post. BEFORE playing the game you have to try to catch one of the ghost meepits (and find your door- not sure if this is necessary). After having the meepit run from you (and finding the door), you only need to beat level 2. I was having problems with this. As soon as I got past the vine part, I tried to play the game. Once the game didn't work, I tried finding the door (note: I still hadn't clicked on any of the meepits). Once I found the door, I played again and it still didn't work, so I went back and clicked on a meepit and then the game worked. I am horrible at this game and just barely beat level 2 with only 192 NP. I lost on level 3 and still received the juice. I would also like to note that when I finally did do the right things I had already sent the score 3 times and I was still able to receive the juice.

Edit: Sorry, I type slow, I just realized that is sort of stated on the first post. Before I started typing this, this wasn't there

you don't have to find the door, but you do have to click a meepit before playing the game

Hey, I noticed that when you Finally get all the Meepits to the door, you have to arrange them until they're all dancing. You can move them and switch them around. At least finally I'm done with this part for the day!

Inter-woods Vine-weaving

Mon Oct 16, 2006 3:22 am

It may seem there are too many combinations, but here is the way I chose, and worked it out in only a few minutes. For the record, I also freaked out over this part and the "start with 6 of one" method didn't work for me logically or methodically.

1. Collect all 30 vines. Find your clearing. Drop all vines into the neatest piles you can, from left to right as they are presented for least confusion.

2. Start with Icky Vines first. Add one. Click the background message. It will tell you have too few. Add one at a time of only Icky Vines, checking the message inbetween adding each one. Stop adding when the message changes.

3. Add Rotting Vines one at a time, checking the message inbetween adding each one. If your message changes to a less favorable one than before, discard the vine you just put on that created the unfavorable change.

4. Repeat in this same fashion for Crumbling Vines, Gross Vines, and Decaying Vines. Stick with one type, adding one at a time, checking the message inbetween. It should gradually become both stronger and longer. If at any point along the way the message changes unfavorably, discard the last vine you added.

5. For example, I needed 5 Icky, 4 Rotting, 0 Crumbling, 0 Gross, and all 6 Decaying to make it long enough and "fairly" strong. Even just one Crumbling or Gross made my rope weaker. After this, I simply went back to start, again adding one at a time across the board. It happened I only needed 1 more Icky (total of 6-4-0-0-6) when I finally solved the step.

Whoot!! After all the frustrations and delays I have finally finished this part of the plot. :)

Good luck everyone.

I have 2 hints for you all.

1. MAP your paths. It doesn't have to be an artwork, just a basic map.

2. Use logic for the vines. As suggested a couple of times.

Use 1 pile first, then add to it.

If the pile is good, you get the cliff, if it isn't good you stay in the clearing. :)

OH YAY!!!!! It's back up and it wasn't very hard to do thanks to all the people who helped figure it out. A BIG thanks to fructy to had that helpful hint. It really helped in figuring out the vines. I would have been right in there trying different things and such, but I was in my car all afternoon! I wonder if they're going to update tomorrow or wait a while because of the problems this weekend... o_O oh well, just glad to be done with this portion, eh.

I cannot find my 7th meepit. This is even more frustrating than finding my last vine. Any tips? Are there only 30 thingmabob forest things? Cause I guess I have no choice but to map...

EDIT: Nvm...I somehow found it after at least an hour of random clicking. music on, of course

Yes yes yes!!! Thank you for saying so much more eloquently than i could have. The same thing worked for me! i found that alot of people were saying "Never use decaying" so i avoided them, but i ended up needing all 6.... fo gigure.

Mon Oct 16, 2006 3:33 am

Ok I'm confused. I have some meepit juice in my quest inventory but the meepits are still feeing to the woods. Is there something else I need to do?

Are you actually clicking the meepit juice then clicking the meepits? It's likely you're not doing that. (Note that the first time you do that it won't work, you will then get spooky meepit juice, then it will work)

:) Yay! I was hoping I sounded coherent for once. Yeah I kept hearing the 'best' advice was start with 6 of any one type, then seemed like people worked backward from there. Many were successful mostly from lucky logic, I think. Since I tried that but picked to start with 6 Crumbling first (random choice) and it turns out I didn't need any of two types of vines. If I had tried that 'start with 6 of one' thing first then worked backward, I might indeed still be stuck on the vines too. :P
