A little while ago, the Neopian Times mentioned the Shoyru being the next Neopets to get a makeover in the near future though in my opinion, it can wait. The fallowing five Neopets are the ones (to me,) that are in DIRE NEED of a makeover but knowing that Neo will only do ONE pet at a time, which do you think should be first?

Why did I choose these five?
Well I chose the Scorchio because... well, just look at it! It's proportions are all wrong. I think it should either be replaced with a new pet or at the very least, make it look more dragon like, rather than a guy in a bad suit with a foam tail, cardboard wings, and a plastic head.

As for the Eyrie... This is probably the most desperate Neopet of them all. I know I adopted one of these but dangit, I was really in to gryph's back then. Now to list its faults (and boy does it have a lot.) Let's start with it's most obvious, its wings. Not only are they way too small, mishaped and poorly drawn, but they're located at the freaking rib cage... (I think they tried to base this off an ancient drawing of a Gryphon.) Anyway it should be located where it is on the Darigan Eyrie, at the shoulder. The next thing on the list is the head. A little bit on the small side not to mention it constantly changes with color. (This can be noticed while surfing through the Shop Keeper Images.) The neck feathers are way too poofy, the legs are a little too thin, the front paws look like they're made of stone, (the shape and all,) the pack paws are just laughable, the paws need claws and the tail... just look at that. It looks more like mangled cotton candy or something I get out of the lint trap in the dryer.

The Pteri to me, would look a lot better on a branch or flying with bigger/better wings. They're drawn much bigger in all other Pteri images I've seen. They should really use the Faerie Pteri as a guide for the makeover.

Jetsams need to have a new pose. One where they're swimming in the circle rather than "standing" and their tails need to be virtical, not horisontal like it is in the image. I know they're just a toon but the lack of some basic realism, ticks me off. Especially after seeing the great job they did with the Maraquan Grarrl. If they can do that good with a (Barney-ish) Dinosaur then they can certainly do much better with the Jetsam.

The Floatsam wasn't exactly my first choice for a makeover but after looking at the Jetsam, I just had to post this as well... Why? Mostly for the same reason as the Jetsam. Lack of realism. Even for a cartoonish creature. Look at it. It's based off a species of whale (or dolphin?) that has a horn grow out of its head. It's poorly drawn and it didn't really require a lot of effort from the original artist. And again, the whole "standing" thing needs to go. These are the original Maraquan creatures here. (Along with the Peophin.)

And yes, I know all of these pets will EVENTUALLY get makeovers but this poll is about the five pets above and which one should be redone. And yes I know this is a very long post... I'm bored okay?[/url]

I'd say the Scorchio... though I would really love to see the Eyries have a make-over soon (gryphons are awesome).

I'm sure about this, but the Pteri is a lot more recent than the others, isn't it? I seem to remember the other five existing when I first signed up, but the pteri came a year or two later... So saying, I think the other four could use make-overs before the Pteri

The Flotsam & Jetsam have never really offended me - the art is cartoony, sure, but so are many other pets... I think Neopets should continue to offer a range of styles - those that are purely cartoons and those that are a little more realistic.

The Pteri I have no problem with, Neo doesn't have another 'small bird' based pet and I think this one works fine, especially if it gets more imaginitive redraws like the Faerie.

Eyries, yeah I've never been a great fan and they could use a bit of work, but I think the Scorchio needs it more. It does look very dated when juxtaposed with some of the more modern pets and I think it would really benefit from a few tweaks. I don't think it stands to get a total redraw from scratch - the Scorchio is one of the original iconic Neopets and has so much merchandise based on it already. Maybe a reworking similar to the Desert Scorchy would be enough? As long as they leave Darigan and Mutant alone I'll be happy

Woah. I didn't even notice half of the flaws you mentioned with those pets. Guess I just don't look at them closely enough most of the time xP

I think the Pteri would need a makeover more. It's always looked extremely boring to me.

Hehe, I choose scorchio also. Out of all those picked I'd say the eyrie and scorchio need it the most but the scorchio's faults are a lot more obvious. To me the jetsam looks fine, as does the pteri really - it's just in need of some minor tweaks to update it. And the flotsam, well I don't really like it but it is probably third most in need if I'm being objective.

They all have faults but the scorchio is just one big fault - it desperately needs brought up to the standard of the darigan scorchio which I prefer over draiks and krawks

I chose the Eyrie. It just doesn't look up to par with the rest of the Neopets drawings. I think it needs to be updated the most of all the other ones. The lines are a little blotchy, and things like that.

I chose Pteri.

I just think it looks sort of chubby, I don't know. Maybe I'm just a little bit delusional. But don't tell anyone.

I would choose Usul or Tuskaninny, for reasons I think most people would agree with, but unfortunately they weren't on the list.

And I completely agree with what you said regarding the Faerie Pteri.

The Eyrie. It's up there high on the list of my favorite pets, but that's only because I really love gryphons. It is flawed, and it could look a lot better if TNT just put in a dash of effort. I just hope they don't try to make the Eyrie look cute and cuddly, or else I'll send out a swarm of gryphons which will eat anything shiney in the TNT's office, and then fly off again happily.

I think the Scorchio. It could look really cool- if it was redrawn!

But I really think the one pet that needs a revamp is the Tuskaninny.

I say its the Eyrie's turn. My favorite pet needs some serious anatomy tweaking.

Eyrie. It's anatomy seriously bugs me, especially that misplaced wing. Rarrrgh! x_x

I would say Eyrie, but due to the poor redraws of some other unfortunate pets, I wouldn't dare allow TNT to mess up the Tatsu.

I think Scorchio needs a revamp. It looks really awkward to me, I think they could make it look a bit more proportioned.

I think Eyries need to be redrawn and fixed, but that they should try to keep it as the same style it is now. The biggest problem I have is with the wings.

Scorchio! Scorchio! Scorchio! I feel that it will turn out quite cute after the revamp.

I kind of changed my mind.. I thought Pteri and voted for that then changed to Scorchio again. :O
