Since installing the Maraquan Sidebar, I havent had a single Random Event. Not even a useless one......

I read somewhere that each side bar is supposed to have special features, Im wondering if this Maraquan one Stops REs.......LOL

is anyone else having this happen?

I'm pretty sure the Maraquan sidebar is just for plain show, Neopets never stated anything else other than that. Maybe you can pester them on the Editorial to change that.

ahh hey, I dont mind it being for show, its much easier on the eyes than the bright yellow...

Just wondering why theres been no random Events since I changed the sidebar and wondering if its doing that to others too..... could we be just a coincidence, but usually I get at least 6 REs each time Im on.

I've gotten quite a few REs...

4 Faerie quests in the last 3-5 days, 500 NP on the ground, 2x Bad Nightmare, Bored pet, etc...

One thing I think would be cool is if the sidebars acted like the shop discount cards of old... like Maraquan SB would be 1% off when shopping in Maraqua.

Yeah, that would be an interesting idea to implement. And all those quests and REs you're getting may just be because you're lucky.

Nothing different for me when I use it.

I think the only sidebar that really changes the amount of RE's you get is the birthday sidebar. (I've never had it, but from what I've heard you get more random events.)

I haven't had a RE in months, and I was using the valentine's day side bar.

I've gotten more REs since I got the sidebar, but that may just be coincidence. I've gotten a few 50-100 NP events, stock tips, a free lotto ticket, and a lab map in just the past 2-3 days, which is more than I've gotten in a long time. So who knows. I may just be luck, or it may be because I've been refreshing more now that I've started feeding Kadoaties.

Just proving that the sidebar doesn't kill REs completely

This thread got me wondering about the REs, but I just happened to get a RE (found somehting on the floor ) with this sidebar, so yeah, it doesn't kill RE's completely.

got the ghost lupe and full hipoints one. Nope, doesn't eliminate re's. i think you're just unlucky.

this is somewhat related, and might be maraqua sidebar relevent - have any of you been getting re's with nothing in them? i've gotten two in the same number of days - broken image, no message... it's odd.

i have had random events with it. Probably just decorative, since it was a war prize, and a lot of people have it now. In about a year, it will be somehow rare....like all maraquan stuff

wow, im glad you brought this up... because now that I think about it... i havent had a RE in a loooong time... many months. I mean, think about back what you were doing on new years eve..... imagine not getting a single RE since then. I know i havent. wierd....
