Ok, i just started playing the game after hearing it was a great way to earn np. What i would like is some hints and strategies on winning, for example do you always bet 50 as your ante? When do you stop? What if you keep losing? All help is greatly appreciated. thanks

Well, with the antes, higher risk=higher reward. But you should get good first.

I've found that the median winning score, for all four players, is between 21 and 22, so you don't have to shoot for 24 all of the time. If you can get a 22, then you'll win just over 50% of the time.

Get the four first - that's the most important of the required dice. On the first roll, put in a four and up to two sixes. If you did not get a four in your initial roll, play only one six.

Wait until the last three dice (that is, you have two remaining and roll them, and then you have the next roll of only one die) to fish for a one. I believe the game is rigged to give you lower-value dice more often towards the end, but I can't back it up with any research. Just a belief - but it seems to work out alright for me.

One advantage to waiting until the end to get the 1 is also that even if you have a terrible roll, you can always plug in the 1 then. It's sort of a failsafe kind of thing.

Eventually, you'll get the option of 100, 200, and 1000-np antes. That's when the real money comes in (and you can earn up to 7990 np per day at that point)

Wow, Shapu, thanks! I've always been bad at that game, and trying your method just now I've won a few times. *Goes back to it to try for the avatar* :)

Recently, it seems like the average is 23 or 24 for me...

i dont seem to get a 4 during any point of the game sometimes now.

works for me, but i always do this since i started playing.

same comment as above

this year, it seems like they just increased the chances of me losing. i always seem to get into the really deep negatives like -20k, but i always get the money back in the end. it took me 2.5 hours for me to get it back once

To get the 200np ante, you must win 4 in a row. The others are amount of wins.

When you can bet 1000, bet 10 and LOSE. When you get to 4990, you can play once more and top out at 7990!

That's pretty much the strategy I use. I've found lately that my opponents have been rolling a lot more sixes than they used to, though, so it's taking longer to max out. Once I was down 30,000 NP. However, if you keep playing, you always win in the end.

On my first game of every day, they don't take away my bet. Has anyone else noticed this happening to them? If I lose, I stay at the same amount I had before I started playing. If I win, I get 4000 NP (instead of the 3000 I'd usually get because they take the bet out). If I tie, I get 1000 extra NP (so if I had 5000 before I started playing, I now have 6000). I'm certainly not complaining about it! I sent a bug report a long time ago just in case, but they didn't fix it.

I am beginning to think they modified the odds on this game. I've been playing since it was added to the site, and although I've had a few bad days where I've been down a lot of NP, they were rare. Normally I could max out in a respectable amount of time. Now almost every day (for the past month or so) I have to play for more than an hour to max out (right now I'm down 15,000 after 45 minutes of play). My opponents almost always get a 22, 23 or 24, and I have been rolling mostly 1s, 2s and 3s. It's rare that I win more than one game in a row, and I NEVER win more than three in a row. Is anyone else having this kind of trouble? I'd chalk it up to a run of bad luck, but if that's all it is, it's been lasting a long while...

ETA: Okay, it's almost ridiculous now. I've played three games since I wrote this post. In the first, one of my opponents got a 24. In the second, one got a 23. In the third, TWO got 24s. I've been rolling mostly 3s. It's really starting to annoy me.

ETA again: Okay, in the fourth game all I could manage was a score of 13. In the fifth game, one of my opponents got a 23 and one got a 24. I'm down 20K now and I feel like giving up. Why do they insist on making it so hard for us to earn NP from games?

Bad luck streaks are real. If you see that your losing too much, quit and come back the next day.
I usually say to myself (when playing 200 ante) if I go under 1000 I'm quitting right away.

Heh, I'm stubborn. I played for two hours and worked my way back from -20K to +7K. I hate losing NP.

I NEVER quit until I make it to the 5K limit. Even from 35K in the hole. Why throw away NP when you can eventually work your way out of it and back into a good positive?

Is it just me...? I cannot play bilge dice. There is a red wocky crying, saying "Sorry, this game is unavailable... " BUT THEN when I log in another account the game is there :o

EDIT: I am in Hong Kong... I changed it into US but it still doesn't work for me *sigh* I am turning twelve on May, hopefully I get to play it then

When you made that account, did you say you were under 13 or in a country other than the US? One of those reasons could be to blame.

Nevermind me, I'm all right.

Exactly how I feel. If you keep playing, you WILL work your way out of the hole. It just takes ages sometimes and is really frustrating! (For example, yesterday I was up 4K, fell down to -17K, worked my way back up to -1K, then fell to -12 again before I finally worked my way up to +7. It took an hour and a half. It's days like that I hate Bilge Dice.)

Does anyone know how these people are getting hundreds of thousands of "points" a day? Right now, one day into the month, flywitheart has accumulated 472,710 "points"....
