Neopets at McDonalds commentary thread -learn something new!

I know unfortunatley many people wont even get to have a FIRST neopets promotion... so i thought if anybody would like to talk about the promotion here, it would be more than convienient..... especially if people want to show some pictures or something!


Anyway, to start the chatter:

Neopest have obviously stared putting up their McDonalds pages all over the site, and by following them I found the checklist:

where you can see ALL the plushies, and also, their "petpet clips".

Aparently, in each happy meal, you get a plushie, as well as a random petpet clip to attatch your plushie to a backpack or keychain or forehead or whatever.

There are also very many cute redrawn ones like these:

and each neopet comes in the basic 4 colors, blue, yellow, green, and red, as well as 3 out of 5 other colors, shadow, speckled, starry, cloud, pink, or checkered.





*and if you didnt notice... the choices are bruce, grarrl, gelert, mynci, kacheek, meerca, poogle, pteri, kougra, kyri, kiko, and flotsam.

and they each come with a prize code too! I dont think they did that last promotion, did they?

Those keychains look neat (although they look like they can break at any given moment...). Though the prospect of one clipped to me forehead seems... painful.

I saw that yesterday... Kind of makes me sad though, knowning I can't get any of them. I'll probably be visiting the US too late for it.

How often do they put new toys in? I never go to McDonald's, I rather despise their food. But. These are cute. Is it random what you get, or a new toy every week, or...? /clueless

Going by the last promotion, every week around 2-3 different species were available (say week 1 was Ixi, Grundo and Aisha; next week would be Yurble, Lupe and Jubjub.) All of the plushies were bagged in opaque bags (so you don't see what color you get, but you do get the same species on the bag)

Those plushie clips are neat. The meepit one is adorable (in a creepy way, as befits a meepit), and I like the faellie and kadoatie, too.

Oi, the only pet I'm finding myself wanting is that pink poogle and a few of the shadow pets. OH WELL!

I like collecting them, I have at least one of most of the species from the last promotion. :3

I hope they use the same type of packeging. You could press the tag to the package, and see waht the species and color was.

After a while, I stoped buying the meals-guys, you do know you can just buy the plushies for a buck if you don't eat the food, right? XD

I need a shadow kyrii! preferably 2 so I can try to dye the mane on one to look darker like its supposed to.

Those Pink Poogle Toys look pretty nifty - I can imagine they'll be pretty rare when released... PPT members often have a Pink Poogle Toy in their shops - now we can have one in real life!

I agree with Trick - it's a shame that Neo don't push their products more in the UK. I guess they haven't been able to convince McDonalds Restaurants UK that Neopets is well-enough known in the country yet. But they aren't going out of their way to publicise it. The only thing I've ever seen was a sponsorship deal with ITV's early-Sunday-morning kids programme, the advert segments were dire. I know you used to be able to buy the talking Neopets in Argos a couple of years back, and that allegedly you can get merchandise from Claire's stores. But the site never gets a mention in the media over here in the UK and I think they're missing out on a potentially huge market. But eh, what can we do?

I'm really disappointed with the choices of pets, personally... really nothing I want except a pink Poogle. Dunno, maybe a starry Kougra. I was hoping for an Eyrie, dang it... why does TNT hate Eyries so much?
