Lab Ray Question

Ive had the lab ray for a long time but Ive always wondered are there any colors the lab ray wont change your pet? Can it change my pet maraquan ?(even if it does odds are slim I know)

It can't paint your pet Royal or Baby... Its possible for it to change it any other color though

You cannot get royal, pirate, baby or plushie. Ghost happens quite a bit. The only time I've heard of any of the others was during a glitch Snarkie told us about. For a day, maybe a couple, I saw a few pirates popping out of the lab.

I've never understood why we can't obtain Pirate through the ray, it's not 'special', like Baby or Plushie. I guess Royal is supposed to be exclusive.
