TNT has said in editorial that they do not mind you blocking ads. They do take exception to using adblock to try to get an advantage over other players.

As long as you are blocking adverts, you are fine.
If you're blocking the images of the items you don't want to restock etc to give you an edge over others, you are breaking the rules and can be punished as such

They really can't tell if you're blocking anything anyway..

Yeah: If your browser never asks for an image on Neopets servers that it's supposed to get, they can tell. There are ways to "pretend" to download the images, but you lose some/most of the advantage, and you have to pretty much hack your browser. (I think the ads are on non-Neopets servers, so they probably can't even tell for ads.)

Yup, they are not hosted by neopets.

I'd guess that it'd be all right, since it's not like it's giving you any advantage

:o I didn't know that! I block images when my dial-up is being very slow so I can get things done faster (dailies, reloading at the advent calendar). I don't restock though. Oh well, won't do it anymore.

I don't think blocking all images would be a problem. I sometimes turn off all images when the site is laggy and I don't really need to see the images.

What would be a problem is blocking all potions' images but morphing potions so you can see what items to restock quicker than other users.
