Is this a random event, or do all Gnorbu's start off like that?

Today is Gnorbu Day, called the Gnorub Shearing Day. Its the day that all across Neopia, Gnorbu are shorn so their new coat may grow in fresh as a daisy. It'll be back to normal tomorrow, promise.

If not, consult your local wig specialist.

Throughout the years, the Neopets staff has played many a trick on their users. Like one day on Mutant Day, all of our pets turned mutant. And one year on Adam's birthday, all of our pets turned into asparagus chias. I like their wit--keeps the game interesting.

It is good to know that TNT are actually putting some thought into the news.

Also another fun thing TNT done was to turn your pet into a pile of sand when you set off the sandtrap in the Temple of 1000 Tombs during the LD plot.

It is just a little fun - without the humour, neopets would be the same boring stuff over and over again.

Ack, the mutant day thing really freaked me out before I realized what had happened- at first, I just thought someone had found out my password and changed all my pets to mutants somehow. Which was a fairly devestating idea, as I've got a Maraquan Acara (thank you, Fountain Faerie). I went straight to PPT and was VERY relieved to discover that it was a prank by TNT. :P

I'm apparently quite gullible, as I was already at that time a long-time Neopets member, and accustomed to TNT's jokes. Speaking of which, the 'petpets run off to a giant jelly thing and their disappearance is never explained' also gave me a mild panic attack.

can't find the sig from this set, so instead, you get a <3 .

*chuckles recalling the number of horrified people convinced Neocharge was the real thing* Yep, don't see this kind of cruel torture on any other gamesite, do you?

I remember way back when the pets got hideous new makeovers. I don't recall if they actually changed the portraits of your pets, though. I seem to recall everyone just getting really upset over the looming possibility of a change.

Man, I've been on and off Neopets since 2000. I wish I'd stuck with one account, I'd have a lot of NP.

It ate all the others
but didn't eat me.

Pointless? how else would we get our "cotton" to keep warm for the winter? It's very important to shear them because they build up static in their fur, and if it grows too much they burn themselves. :o
