A month ago when they introduced the new games room entire game section started loading heeps slower for me - my firefox would for some reason relaoad even sidebar on each page and it would take 4-5 seconds to load (I have ADSL connection but not very fast one).

Now, games section has been fixed and loads normally again but now the shop wizard started acting like that instead. It takes quite a bit for wizard to open (several seconds instead of instantly) and each time I search for anything - there's a long loading time, a blank page and than finally search results. Again Firefox doesn't remember wizard related pages and insists on reloading a sidebar and all (the rest of neopets works fine).

This makes wiz snipping impossible for me and looking up codestones for training my pet a very tedious task. Anyone else noticed this?

Secondly, I think you may simply need to clear your cache. I'm not really a computer wizard, but (heh, correct me if I'm wrong, please) just try clearing your private data (through the tools menu, as I discovered). I think that's what stores and 'remembers' the images you see on the internet. Personally, for me, both the games room and shop wizard were pretty quick (and I got a piece of petpet lab map, yay!), and the sidebar did not reload.

I emptied the cache but it's still acting odd though - 4 times out of ten wizard pages process with normal speed and sidebar doesn't reload, and the other six everything is slow again (with occasional sidebar reload). I have no idea why it's affecting only wizard. Everything else works fine *confused*

I am not having any Shop Wiz lag, but I think I know what you mean about this recent game-room-revamp-lag. I noticed that the game room, ALL individual game pages, and my Favorite games page did the same thing. When I click to open a page, my whole browser lags for 1/2 a minute so that I cannot click on anything else until the game page is loaded. It is extremely annoying!!!11

Now I notice last nite that my Favorites page loads fine and fast, but everything else games-related is still a pain to navigate through. I noticed it doesn't matter if I have scripts and Flash off, either. I don't know what the heck they have embedded in the pages that is so bulky, but I wish they never changed the games room anyway. Everything is LESS organized to me, with more categories. I don't even understand their wish to make things more fancy, if that is what they were trying to do. The games room was fine before, in my opinion. And I miss the easy game feedback popup. Now it just redirects you to the bug report page.

Now that you mention it, every third or fourth time I've used the Shop Wiz lately, it moved very slowly. Once out of every ten or so times, it loads a blank page nowadays. I figured the problem was on my end.

It could be some of the servers -- some of them are worse than others. You could try keeping track of which server gives you the slow pages -- in Firefox/IE, go to view-source in the top menu bar and the server should be right at the top, something like host - www49.neopets.com.

This is getting really bizarre now - after two months of very slow shop wizard its speed is at all times high (as of today) but everything on explore map (everything featured on different worlds - shops, employment agency, mini worlds..) is loading very slow instead (exact slow rate as wizard had). Things unrelated to worlds on explore map (games, look ups, enc.) are normal.
