I am curious,as for myself, since I am graduating from university soon, and most probably land myself a job,I guess neopets will have to take a backseat.Maybe I'll just do the dailies. :)

I am. Granted, I take long breaks from time to time, but I've been playing since May of 2001.

Well, I don't see why you couldn't play NeoPets during your spare time at work, and just minimize it when the boss comes (haha), horrible work ethic I know.
I know Subeta players who do that. :)

I have started a new job and so far I still get plenty of Neopets time. :)

If my current lifestyle doesn't change dramatically, I can see myself playing for a very long time. I have no plans to give it up just yet.

Only a major upheaval in my life would stop me playing.

Apart from almost getting fired for not being able to stop playing the ToW plot I manage to balance work and neo just fine ;) I played the whole way through college and now after graduation too. I'll stop when it's no longer fun...

Probably... I have no life

Ive been playing since 2000 I believe, took about a two year break, then got back playing in mid 03 ish
I'd probably take breaks in between, though. Theres times I get reeealy bored of neo, then not play (other than the lab ray and interest) for months

In 5 years' time I'll be finishing uni, but I don't think it'll prevent me from playing. Unless of course the site becomes a total dump.

Well, on my current account, I've been playing since September 2001. On my original account (that was stolen, may it rip) I believe it was late 2000. Or maybe early 2001.

Either way, this year will be my sixth year playing.

I don't play as much as I used to. I actually mostly take part in plots.

Not at the rate the site's going now.

I've been on board for nearly 7 years now, and as a funny contrast, I've still got my 6 year shield. >> Really, the site is slipping faster than ever now... I'm not finding it fun anymore.

Nope. A very simple answer really. :P Or at least I don't think so - I haven't been on for about a fortnight and haven't had any withdrawl symptons so that usually indicates, for me, that I'm sick of something. It just... isn't the same - I've been playing for 3+ years and don't see any proper really to log on right now. Not even Dailies. So in 5 years? Nope.

Besides, I might find sitting at the computer for hours on end impossible if I get a permenant colonstomy (sp?) like I've been threatened with. -shrugs- Doctors have no sense of humour, unfortunately.

Probably not. Right now I'm just doing dailies... and while I'm at work, playing NQII for the heck of it. But really, the site is going downhill and becoming less and less fun.
I don't even really have a goal anymore, other than to beat NQII.

Though maybe in a year or two I'll start over, see if I can transfer to a new account, etc. Newbies have it so easy these days and I wouldn't go through the frustration of having no avatars to go after, the frustration of having the same shield forever, etc.

It's been six years for me, and I'm now 25, with two jobs, and I just finished up my master's degree, and I haven't stopped. I was never a hardcore player in the first place, though. I'll go on every now and then, play some games, do some dailies, etc. Not every day, but probable 3-5 times a week. (Usually at work. Shhh!)

In 5 years I will be out of college and starting my career (I hope?!) which means there will be no homework, which means no guilt when I log on after I get home and play until bedtime :P

Honestly I'll probably keep playing until the site finally goes down. To the degree I play now though, probably not. I've just been playing so long, it's part of my (extended) childhood and I don't wanna give it up.

If my account ever finds itself frozen or hacked, however... the above may change :/
