Does anybody know what the current newbie pack is? If this information is posted someplace else, please just point me in the right direction. Thanks!

The same as it's been for awhile. A blue ixi plushie, the Mystery of the Kougra Paw book, a wooden blocking shield, mashed potato with gravy, 2 random starter petpets and 2 random starter paint brushes.

Has anyone considered posting the Newbie Pack contents on the main PPT site somewhere? It seems like there's a lot of information (Newbie Packs, Wheel of Excitement diseases, etc.) that change randomly and infrequently.

I know I've been away from Neopets for a while before and had trouble finding that information when I've come back.

That would be a good idea, for those just starting out and who haven't claimed it yet. ^^

On the subject of the contents... wow. o.o;; When I started out (over three years ago now) I'm sure all you got was Wooden Blocking Shield, The Magic Paw Book and Mint Covered Chocolate or something with a similiar name. I can't even remember if you got a Plushie. -.- But those are the three items I can remember... things change. I always wondered why the Price of the Mystery of the Kougra Paw was so low. :P

As of 2001 we did, I can't speak for earlier than that. They just weren't quite as good.

My April 2001 newbie pack definitely had an orange fuzzle in it, because I loved them forever after. Im pretty sure I had an apple too. And a Bruce Booster Pack, because I still have it. There were probably more things, but nothing fancy. I wish I could get some no-trade items in an 'oldie' pack. Theres no other way for me to get those cute petpets or anything.

I've been on for 51 months (4 and a quarter years or so) Ours had a "tigersquash corn dog" and a mint chocolate chip chia pop. Oh, and I had forgotten about the "mystery of the paw". (Wonder why they changed the name of that book?) Certainly no cardboard petpets or paintbrushes!

As a newbie, though, you don't really know the value of things. I was gosh darned really excited about that corndog, you know? I had a really hard time deciding whether to feed it to my pet or sell it for the grand sum of 15 neopoints!

Schlough is right. That's what I got as well. I also got the Rainbow Gun (don't know if you remember that as well).
I feel like an old person telling his grandchildren about having to walk fifteen miles to school, barefoot, in the snow. XD

"When I joined Neo, I didn't get no petpets when I joined!"

I feel the same way. :P

I got a Mint Chocolate Chia Pop, Tigersquash Corndog, and something else???

But we never had any petpets or paintbrushes.

It is really up to Kym if he wants to post it on the site or not, but I guess we'll just wait.

Just a small little tip: If anyone wants to suggest additions to the main PPT page (such as information about newbie packs), perhaps a thread in the PPT Discussion board or a PM to Kym would be a good way to get things going :)

I definitely remember joining neopets either before they had newbie packs or before I knew about them (6 or 7 years ago) and wanting more than anything to be able to afford a petpet- any petpet, even an ugly one like a spyder. I would have *killed* for the newbie packs they give out now.
