So...I have one pet left to paint, and i'm not sure if i should just keep on zapping it and save up on np, OR just go out, buy a pb and get done with it.

X] help much appreciated!

Well, um...that depends on whatever your last pet is, and how expensive the color is.

Generally though, I'd recommend zapping, especially if you're wanting an expensive color such as Grey or Faerie. You can also zap while you save up for whatever brush you're wanting (and possibly a transmog or morphing potion, in case the lab ray changes your pet's species).

But if you've already got the NP (which it sounds like you do) and you're just itching to get your pet painted, then go ahead and buy a brush. :)

I would just keep zapping. I mean, you spent all the NP on it, so why not keep using it? Plus, it's something fun to do every day.

well, i guess you're right. but i didn't buy it. I was one of the writers who got the A Seasonal Pea book ^^ and so i traded it in for things, one of the things in an offer was the whole lab set.

but you're right...zapping will be the better choice even though it might take some time until the right color x]

My advice: if you have a pet with a gender specific name, or if you want anything in particular (species or color) then you should paint. Otherwise, zap. It's an adventure and if you decide you wish you had painted instead you can always go back and change it.

It depends on what you are trying to achieve. If you want one of the more rare colors, like marshmellow or sponge, I would stick with the ray. If you want a more common color I would save time and splurge on the PB.

If you're particularly attached to the result, then go with a paint brush. If you don't have any specific plans, and enjoy being surprised go with the ray. I'm a control freak, so I stick with paint brushes, even though it means I'll never get my beloved ice kougra.

I would zap until you are 100% sure of what it is you exactly want. Painting pets 'just to get it done with' never ends well..for me at least.

Or if you do know what you want, you can set your pet a goal of 250hp or 175 strength, then paint it once it hits that mark.
