New images of what appears to be this years Games Master Challenge have been found. Looks like it's going to be Sun vs Moon!

AAA has been making tons of plans for this year's Games Master Challenge! We hear that the new theme will be Sun vs. Moon. Which side would you pick? (It's a tough choice for us!) Get your gaming gear ready, because GMC will be live on Monday the 25th.

Do I have to complete the bonus challenges in order to qualify for the highest trophy tier?
No. The bonus challenges do not count toward the overall completion of the GMC challenges. They simply add to your team’s overall score.

What is the difference between Team Sun and Team Moon?
While there is some overlap in the challenges that the teams will receive, a lot of the games will, generally speaking, be based specifically on the challengers.

When does the Games Master Challenge start and end?
The Games Master Challenge will begin on the afternoon (NST) of November 25th. Day 1 will end at 11:59:59 pm NST on November 26th. Each day after that will be a typical 24 hour day, from midnight to 11:59:59 pm. The Games Master Challenge will end at 11:59:59 pm on December 2nd.

Are the bonus challenges for timed challenges also timed?
Nope! Once you have completed the initial timed challenge, you may then complete the bonus challenges for that challenge at any time.

What is AAA’s involvement in this year’s GMC?
AAA is going to sit back and let others duke it out again this year. AAA has recruited the help of two well-known Neopians to serve as the team captains in this year’s Games Master Challenge, Siyana and Princess Lunara. Both have come to Roo Island to lead their respective teams in a week-long competition and see whose squad has the better gamers.

What do the checkmarks mean on the Progress page?
When you complete a challenge on the day it is released, a gold checkmark will appear over the challenge icon. If you complete a challenge on a day other than the day it was released, then the checkmark will be green.

How can I earn points for my team?
You can earn points for your team by participating in the initial challenge and by completing the bonus challenges.

What's the meter for?
The meter keeps track of which team is winning. At the end of the event, participants on the winning team will receive a prize.

Does each team have a different list of qualifying games?
No, the list of qualifying games is the same for both teams. This is a complete list that includes all of the qualifying games for both teams.

What are timed challenges?
There are a few challenges during the GMC that will be timed. Once a challenge’s timer has been activated, you will have 24 hours to complete that challenge. If you do not complete the challenge in the time given, you will not receive credit or a prize for that challenge. You also won’t be able to play any related bonus challenges if you do not complete the initial challenge in the time allotted.

Does each team have the same number of challenges to complete?
Yes. No matter which team you select, the level of participation required is exactly the same.

Once I have selected my team, can I go back and change it later?
No. Once you have selected your team, you are locked in for the duration of the event.

Ooh, I don't know. I prefer the sun because it gives warmth. But it looks like the moon has the puzzly games that I prefer. And it's more fun to bandwagon with you guys.

Looking at the image, it looks like AAA has his arm in a sling so he will sit out and the team captains are Siyana (light faerie - Altador Plot) (sun) and Princess Lunara (moon).

Don't see Abigail though.

I'm a tad conflicted like this as well, given that I'm all for supporting the Faeries, yet puzzle games are more rewarding to me. Curses! :evil:

Unsure of that prize name, Siniri. It does look like a bottled map. Which doesn't really help in deciding if it is a sun or moon item. :roll:

Urgghh! It seems TNT has surpassed themselves with the amount of glitches they can achieve on opening an event.

1. The qualifying games list doesn't show correctly on some browsers. I use FF and I have to zoom out to max to see the list.

2. The first game when you go to send score, it will say SCORE 00. Send it anyway. The proper score will go through to get your prize.

3. The scoring seems to still be stuck on 49 - 51 (but as it only has just started, this may change).

I couldn't do it. I had to join team sun because I'm hopeful I'll prefer that team's prizes. I'm such a non-rebellious rebel.

I joined team Moon. I figure it's a toss-up, and I think I might be slightly better at the dark or space themed games than some of the sun-themed ones. Though Spinacles may drive me a little bonkers if the score is too high. Ah well. It's done.

ETA: And hopefully being on Moon will keep me from having to play Barf Boat. I looooooathe that game.

Oops, yes that is the other glitch. When you accept your prize for joining, it goes to a 404 error page. You will need to re-open the GMC link.

I am glad the first game score was easy, although I think all-in-all GMC is easier than DD.

*Just need Blue and the gang is all here!

No, Daze, I got the 404 when I'd beaten Bumble Beams and refreshed to claim my prize (I'd already claimed most of the bonuses for the favorites challenge, which is the biggest waste of time).

I've re-navigated, etc. and am still getting it. I'm going to clear my cache and see if that helps.

ETA: Managed to get back in. Note that you need to "favorite" 25 different games to get all the bonuses.
