The big screen and the small screen... together at last! Hurrah!

Yes, she was booed at the Orange Bowl and I feel very bad for her. Yes, she lypsynced, get over it. It was a mistake and I'm positive she is
very sorry for what happened. But booing her at the Orange Bowl is not only rude, it's immature. You think people would get over this but obviously they can't. I'm not really a fan of her music but she I have seen performances on television (not lypsynced) and she sounded good. She sounds like her songs and I think that's what matters. If she sounds like she does in videos and what not, that means she isn't faking her voice. But this can be argued and this isn't a debating board.
Here is the picture which made me feel very bad for her,
"My career is over!"
And another moving animation,
Credit to gigglingmonk on the Evboard for finding this images/animations.

People really DO need to learn to get over it. She was singing live THAT TIME, and it was quite obvious considering she didn't sound EXACTLY like her CD. No, I don't agree with lypsyncing, and it's fine to 'boo' someone if they ARE lipsyncing, but not when they aren't. I'm not a fan of hers, but that was really immature and rather stupid of the people who 'booed' her.

Yes, that was extremely immature... Yes, she was caught lip syncing, wow let's boo her even though we can tell she isn't this time, just to be cool! Sometimes people just don't think, it's quite sad actually. I'm sure they wouldn't have booed of Janet Jackson for HER mishap. >_> I can't say I like her music all that much, but sheesh. People need to learn.

Eh, I find it amusing that she was "Boo'ed".
I don't think it was immature at all.
Did she actually make the comment "My career is over"?
Wow, what a big loss. o.O

Now that I don't approve of especially if she is taking the effort to fix her mistake in the past.
And by "fixing" I don't mean "making sure the correct song is playing over the speakers".

She didn't make that comment. But I don't know. She was booed at the Billboard Awards too. I think she gets the picture.

Honestly, it was only inevitable. She was being sold not because of her voice or talent. She was sellable because she was a preteen idol from seventh heaven who was the sister of jessica simpson whos been in the limelight a lot now that she's married especially.

People have lost a lot of respect for her. They could be booing if she was rubbish or if they didn't like her music. There are all sorts of reasons for it. I don't feel sorry for her at all to be honest, I have no time for artists like her.

Would it be nice if people booed you off stage just because some immature morons didn't like for example the poem you read?
Superstar or not, it still hurts.

I don't think it was her music that made the people Boo.
It's more likely because she's lipsynched before, after(Apparently) making the comment that she wouldn't do it.
To add to it, there's just better people you could get to sing at the Orange Bowl.
Little Pop-Princesses lacking in talent who have been caught lipsynching before are not exactly Prime Candidates for half-time shows.
Or maybe they are....which scares me.

They're many crappy artists who perform live and rarely are they booed. Especially at such a publicised event.

There's a BIG difference between "not liking the poem you read" and being ashley simpson. That's is a very inaccurate comparison. I can totally see why she was booed. A lot of people, not surprisingly, see her as a joke. She should have realized that from the beginning when they wanted to make a show about her record. Same thing with kelly osbourne, her music career was a joke too. Just because someone in your family has talent in a certain area doesnt mean you do. My sister is a professional drummer, and i could drum for the life of me, but i am a vocalist and actor who plays in musicals, and she can't sing or act for the life of her.

That's really mean...I don't like her either but still. I feel bad for her.

As much as I don't like her, I agree that people should get over it. But I doubt they will anytime soon. People like to boo.
Anyone remember Sinead O'Connor? She ripped up a picture of the Pope on Saturday Night Live, and then got booed off stage at a Bob Dylan tribute concert two weeks later.

Sinead O'Connor was booed for an opnion she had and how she demonstrated it.
Ashley Simpson was booed for a crappy performance.
Not to mention Sinead had talent.
This is how people express themsleves. If they enjoy a performance, they cheer. If they don't, they boo. And let's face it, whether you look at the whole lip-synching saga or not, that was one horrible performance.
Now I don't want to say that Ashley was asking to be booed but her marketing genius of a father needs to learn a few things. Ashley is popular with a very small demographic. Pre-teen girls at a mall want to hear Ashley. Testosterone-ridden males in the middle of a football game don't. In fact, I can think of very few public appearances short of her own concerts that would be wise to make.
