The big screen and the small screen... together at last! Hurrah!

Everyone has heard of the original "Mask" right? With Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz. Well the Mask came out about 6 to 7 years ago and there making a sequel Son Of Mask. I personally think its pathetic that after all of these years they finally decide to make a sequal.

I saw a preview of it a year or two ago in the theaters. It was a baby dancing around with the mask on his head.
Honestly, these sequels should stop. I'll watch it because I loved the original "Mask" and hopefully it turns out like a good sequel.

I would have loved a Mask sequel, but seriously, from what I've seen, this is going to take the comedy of the previous film, run it into the ground, burrow into the earth, and pop it out of china and hurl it into the sun (assuming it's night when you watch it)

I don't think I will watch it. I didn't even know the character had a son.

He didn't. Most likely he'll have a son in the sequel. This sounds like a Disney sequel with the son/daughter part, no?

This movie looks really stupid from what I can tell. Doesn't appeal to me at all. I won't be seeing it.

I agree totally. There are some movies which just stand perfectly by themselves, then there are other which do good with a sequels. The Mask was an example of doing perfectly by itself a sequal would ruin it.

I think it looks awful.
I just don't see anything amusing at all in the trailers. As soon as they brought out Loki I just sat there with this horrified expression on my face.

I was not a big fan of the first one, but it was an alright movie. But a second one is dumb, specially having Jim Carey's character having a son.

The original was excellent, but this just looks so...so...so, BLEH! You can tell that all the jokes will be corny and it will be "kidified." I don't know, it look so cartoonish. I saw the trailer on TV just as I was leaving the house one day, and it seems like a random idea that just reared its little head one day.
I just don't understand why they make such horrible sequals!

One. Word.
Super Babies 2.
THAT's how it's going to be.

Took the words right out of my mouth, Pokemon Kid. The point of a sequel is to draw the same loyal audience who liked the previous movie. It doesn't work if you do it a decade later, when everyone's forgotten about The Mask.

Exactly! That movie looked like the silliest thing ever. I never wanted to see it, but I heard from unlucky viewers that it was just trash.
It's times like these I wish I was in the movie business. I would show them all what a good movie is! ^___^

I looks awfull. Its a bad idea to make a sequal after the movies turned at least five*cough*Star Wars*cough* but this just looks dum. The mask was good, and the ending was good. I don't need a sequal. Pokemon Kid, you took the rest of this rant right out of my mouth. My thoughts exactly.

Saw the previews, looked awful. I'm not paying anything for to watch that movie, so unless I catch it on tv years later when I'm bored and nothing better is on tv I won't be seeing it
. I also saw that super babiess 2 commercial, not sure if it was announcing it was out on DVD now or something but I never saw the first one
. Anyhow, that looked ridiculous as well. I seriously hope they didn't spend too much money to create those movie flops.
