The big screen and the small screen... together at last! Hurrah!

Hollywood power couple Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston have separated after 4 1/2 years of marriage but remain "committed and caring friends," the couple said on Friday.
"We would like to announce that after seven years together we have decided to formally separate," Pitt and Aniston, who first met on a dinner date in 1998, said in a joint statement initially published by People magazine on its Web site.
"For those who follow these sorts of things, we would like to explain that our separation is not the result of any of the speculation reported by the tabloid media," the statement said.

I really don't think it's any of our business, but since they announced it okay.. (this isn't against you or anybody else, I'm just stating my opinion
)
That's a shame, anyways.

I'm refraining from saying anything.

I did. It was evident, they didn't seem happy together.
On a news show or what not they said a hollywood couple broke up and I instantly thought Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt. Than I thought of Britney Spears.

I always thought Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt looked like the "perfect" couple kinda, i knew they were having troubles and stuff but seperation is just woah.

Its always ashame to see people that looked like they loved each other seperate. Its going to be hard to see them without each other.

Awww, that's sad. I'm sure alot of women are excited though
Well.... so long as they enjoyed the time they spent together.. then good for them! I hope they both find that special someone that will be with them forever and ever

Jennifer and Brad were one of my hopes for a non-Hollywood marriage. By that, I mean staying together for the rest of their lives. But hey. I guess things happen.
And uhh.. Brad Pitt is 41?! Time flies. Wow.

I'm sorry. I didn't mean to offend you by any means! I didn't mean it like,"whats wrong with you starting thsi topic?!" I just meant I didn't think it was our business but since they announced it then I suppose it's fine to talk about it. I'm sorry.

Wow...I didn't see that coming...they always look happy together and I really thought they were going to make it as a couple ;-;
I guess my sights have to land on Courtney Cox and David Arquette now...they need to be the marriage that beat hollywood.

That's a shame, they made a cute couple. Really though, I don't understand why they would feel the need to let the general public know about their seperation, it's none of our business.

I've always been facinated by the mystery question "why do celebrity realtionships never seem to work out?"

Media probably has alot to do with some couples breaking up. I mean just think, if you had cameras in your face 24/7 wherever you went... and it forced you to put up this front that everything is perfect so tabloids and tv will hopefully not write/do yet another stupid article about you and your loved one..... sheesh.. I couldn't even imagine how much pressure that would be and how much stress that would put on the relationship.
And I watch those entertainment shows (for lack of anything better to watch), it's like whenever Pitt or Aniston showed up to something alone or was seen alone... MAN all sorts of rumors were going about how soandso was getting a little to close to someone else.. or that they're gonna break up or blah blah blah etc etc etc.

I think their professions are a big part of it. If you're both acting, then you're bound to not be able to spend much time with eachother. Brad might be off in Italy filming one film, while Jennifer's in L.A. filming a different one. And then they're never together, etc.
I thought they'd last. They seemed so happy and so perfect together.
Then again, I thought Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman would last forever too.

I just heard about this yesterday and I was no very surprised. I mean look and Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson. There always kissing, hugging, and laughing and you can tell they are a happy couple. Brad and Jennifer always looked unhappy. They never hugged in public or anything. They looked like a nice couple but I guess it wasn't meant to be.
