Ok, I'm reffering to the play not the novel, so thats why it's here and not the Library. I saw it yesterday afternoon, and was amazed. Has anyone else seen it? I wanna discuss it with someone else who has seen it--or at least the 10th anniversary edition on DVD/VHS!!

Before I started homeschooling, the high school I was at put on Les Mis. We were all worried that they were going to botch it up but it was so excellent!! That was the year we had all the good people in the theater group. The boy who played Jean val Jean was EXCELLENT as was pratically everyone else. I cried my way through the whole second act then begged my mom to let me go again the next night, then cried my way through nearly the entire thing. I wanted to go again the night after but it was closing night and the tickets had sold out.

Ooh you lucky....I would give almost ANYTHING to have my school do Les Mes, I would LOVE to play Cosette or Eponine. Ok, so my first choice to act would be Jean Valjean but since I'm not a male, that would't work too well :-P

I know Matt(on the forums) is a fan of it.
I faintly remember the novel. Good read. =)

Well, I haven't seen it, but some of the people in my drama group are doing a Les Mis Medly in our show, and I'm one of the people. We're doing:
At The End Of The Day
I Dreamed A Dream
Castle On A Cloud (This is a nightmare to sing!)
Do You Hear The People Sing?
On My Own
Bring Him Home (I have the duet with one of my friends here
)
A.N.Other (The page with this song's start-up and title has been cut-off)
And we're going to be in costume and have people waving flags in the background and stuff.

Castle on a Cloud's quite easy to sing if you're an mezzo soprano.
I love the music from Les Mis. When I went on holiday, the reps put it on and made the ending happy.
It's about the bloody French Revolution!! Of course people are gonna die!
On a lighter note, I got an A* in my music G.C.S.E. for singing On My Own.

You lucky.....GRR half the people I've talked to haven't even HEARD of the thing!! I want to perform it sooooooooooooooooooooo badly, I already have half of the prolouge memorized :-P (from the start of the song "Look Down" untill Javert gives Jean Valjean his yellow ticket-of-leave. Jean Valjean would be sooooooooo fun to play, the chararacter is so full of power and emotion.... I've got a set being made with quotes from "Red and Black" on it, I love that song. Next year, in Speech III, I'm going to try to get my teacher to organize a play of Les Miserables--that would be sooo cool. I'm rambleing , so I will shut up now...

I have the allstart cast thingy... on DVD.
And the recording.
Whatsit called... emeh. It's the version (i'm sure theres more then one), where all the Valjeans from around the world go and sing. (The guy from Iron Chef is there. It always makes me laugh!)
I'm quite fond of this musical. *pets it* Favorite chars from it? Fantine and Eponine. Especially in the allstar cast... Fantines just got this look... makes me think of a fox. Love it. (also love her cameo!)

I'm trying to get a copy of the DVD... My favorite characters would be Valjean and Javert, both extremely facentating characters... They were portrayed very well in the version I got to see....

I just saw the musical on Saturday afternoon. I happened to be in Shreveport while the tour was there, so I saw it. I must say, it was pretty awesome.
