Seether VS No Doubt

Facts

Seether
  • Were set to record their second album when the song "Broken" (A duet with lead singer of Evanescence Amy Lee and Seether) appeared on Billboards Top 10. Seether became high in demand and cancelled the recording of their second album for a European tour. "Broken" became so popular that Seether re-released their debut album with two versions of Broken and it ended up going Gold.
  • The song "Broken" gave Seether a chance to work on their album, making the period of writing songs much longer. "I think a lot of bands on their second album freak out and don't know what to do," explains Shaun, "so they either go really, really poppy or do some weird, introspective Indian music or something. The thing is, we're still a rock band and I think with this album we wanted to prove that even more than the last one,"
  • Their singles include, "Remedy", "Broken (Featuring Amy Lee)" and "Gasoline".

No Doubt
  • Founder of No Doubt, John Spence commited suicide at an Anaheim park on December 21, 1987. The suicide took a large toll on the group, but they stuck together despite the odds.
  • The album "Tragic Kingdom" was recorded in 11 different studios over two and a half years. "Tragic Kingdom" is the most successful No Doubt record.
  • Their singles include "It's My Life", "Just A Girl" and "Don't Speak"

Seether obviously. I think everyone already knows I'm not any type of Gwen Stefani fan.

Answer the feedback question please, (If possible)

Do you have any general improvements/complaints/comments about Versus?

Sat Jul 16, 2005 8:33 pm

No Doubt. I'v never heard anything from Seether.

And no complaints. It's probably just me thats never heard of half the bands featured here.

Sat Jul 16, 2005 9:02 pm

No Doubt because I haven't heard much of Seether.

Got no complaints about Versus really.

Sat Jul 16, 2005 9:31 pm

No doubt.
dislike seether with a passion.

Sun Jul 17, 2005 12:28 am

The song Broken is better than any of No Doubt's songs, so yeah, Seether.

No complaints. Versus rocks :D

I still want Meatloaf to be on here XP

Sun Jul 17, 2005 1:04 am

No Doubt.

Sun Jul 17, 2005 1:07 am

Seether got run into the ground by the local rock and pop stations, so I'm going with No Doubt (based on old No Doubt music, didn't like the new stuff).

As for the feedback question, I pretty much like the way this thing is run. I wouldn't mind seeing a few slightly more obscure bands on the list, but on the other hand, if they're obscure they're likely to bite the dust in one round when going up against a more well-known artist/band. You're doing a great job with it. ^_^ I love the info that you put about each artist, as I enjoy learning new stuff, even about bands I dislike.

[edit] Just a suggestion, but you might want to move the feedback section up above the hall of fame. If it weren't for the fact that you pointed it out after the first person's response (forget who it was), I wouldn't have noticed it all.

No Doubt gets my vote again.

I currently have no complaints about Versus, its great fun :)

Sun Jul 17, 2005 6:13 pm

No Doubt, definetly.

As for the feedback question, I have none. But I would really like to see John Reuben, Andy Hunter, Olivia the Band and Michael W. Smith somehow make it in.

But aren't they just American artists? I've definately never heard of them in England? Keep it international!

I haven't heard of them, either. And I am American! =P

No Doubt. I really don't like Seether.

As for the feedback, the only complaint I have is that I haven't heard of some of the artists. (Especially in the coming soon. Who are Anastacia and Amerie?)

Sun Jul 24, 2005 5:16 pm

No Doubt seems more original to me
