NO HOUSE ELVES IN GOBLET OF FIRE?!?!?!?!

Sun Aug 21, 2005 1:17 am

NOOO!!!! THE WB INSIDER ANNOUNCED THAT THERE WILL BE NO HOUSE ELVES IN GOF BECAUSE OF LACK OF TIME!!! I WANTED TO SEE SPEW!!!! AND WINKY AND MY LITTLE DOBBY!!!!! WHY DID YOU DO THIS, WB??? :(

WHAT??? But but but... Dobby was an important part of the story... he gave Harry the Gillyweed!!

*mutters* This is why I don't like the movies. Although I realize that Harry can get the Gillyweed some other way, I don't like it when they change the story too much. =(

I think Dobby is an exception from the house elves, i'm still sure he give harry the gillyweed, but just no kitchen scenes in which you actually see the elves moving up and about. And to think i wanted to see them tickling to pear and see how they go go about CGI-ing it. Oh well.

I remember reading this a couple of months ago... I don't think this is new news, is it? I might be wrong...

I agree with Blk Mage, though... I have a feeling Dobby will give Harry the gillyweed. And if not, it'll probably be Neville, which is almost as good. :)

it would have been way cool if there were elves in it...oh well...

Not including at least Winky if not Dobby aswell would be a little hard to believe. Seeing as one is integral to the story, and the other is also but to a lesser degree.

Im going to agree with Blk Mage. We probably just wont see the kitchen scenes.

Aye, I agree with Blk Mage and Jim. Winky's got to be there because of the whole Crouch thread, and Dobby gives Harry the Gillyweed and generally hangs about through the whole series.

Peeves generally hangs about the whole series too (yes, peeves is my all purpose erased character example) :P

Yes, but he doesn't actually do much significant to the plot...

Nevil does now.
cant remember what happens with the dark mark, probably just a "canny find nuthin guv!" thing. o_O

but still. there isnt a suprme army of the dead that dissapears a few moments before it could be REALLY useful, so im not overly bothered.

Entertainment Weekly said that Hermione's SPEW wasn't going to be part of the plot because of a lack of time. I don't think I read anything about there being no house elves at all though.

I heard in a magazine about SPEW not being in it too. Urgh, figures. SPEW was one of my favorite aspect of the book, just because Ron kept calling it 'spew' and annoying Hermoine.
Bleh. Well, if I close my eyes while watching the movie and imagine hard enough, I can pretend the House Elves are in it. :P

S.P.E.W.!!!!

Don't diss Hermione! *Insert Anime Fiery-eyes joke*

They HAVE to put Dobby and Winky into the movie. Harry can't do the second task without Dobby and Winky just ties into the whole Mr. Crouch thing.

Shame they won't show more of them though :/. I wanna see what the kitchen looks like :P
