And... Phineas is defeated and McGonagall makes it to the Hall of Fame. We won't have a Golden Round just yet, though.
Anyway, we start afresh with:

Lupin
Yes, I'm perfectly aware we've had Snape before. But circumstances being what they are, I thought he deserved another go-round. Let's see if it's just my imagination that fewer people think he's evil now than they did before HBP.
If so, I am not one of those people.
Besides, Remus Lupin is... a great teacher, a wonderful mediator, a brave soul... and it certainly doesn't hurt that he's a Marauder, the last remaining.
For me, this is even more of a "no contest" than the time Dumbledore went against Umbridge.

I like them both but I prefer Lupin over Snape. A more likeable character.

Lupin, definitely. Obviously Snape is not a character who is too... agreeable with. Plus, Lupin is kind, and as Tharkun said, a great teacher. Plus, he's a werewolf and I love wolves.

I like Snape, but my vote must go to Lupin. Lupin and Tonks!

I voted for Snape! I'm a huge fan of him, and I jsut don't think that the books would be the same without him.

Although it's true it wouldn't be the same without Snape... he's not my *favorite* compared to Lupin. Because he's a wolf! Yay! (not to mention nice, wise, and very hilarious when paired with Tonks)
