The Chronicles of Narnia

Tue Dec 06, 2005 12:32 pm

Even though it doesn't come out until December 9, I was able to see it this past Saturday because we got press passes in Newspaper. They did an awesome job. I think it followed the book pretty well, but I'm not sure since it's been awhile since I've read the book.

But yes, if you were a fan of the book, you should go see it.

I'm looking forward to this so much, it looks amazing.

Unfortunately, I've promised my friend I wouldn't see it until she was here so we can see it together...and she doesn't get here 'til the 22nd. :P

Go figure, one of the few times something was here before the US, too.

I hate in the trailer how she opens the wardrobe and it's bursting with light. That did not happen :(

Hopefully that is just a trailer thing.

Yeah, I really didn't like that either.

The movie looks fantastic, though. The movie would've been amazing directed by Peter Jackson... :D

Anyway, my dad and I are going to see it later this month.

Oooh, there's already a thread! :D

I'm going to be going to be watching this on the 9th with some friends, and I can't wait. I've been feeding myself spoilers of the movie, and it looks amazing. :D Especially the big fight at the end... mmmmhhmmm... :o

I can't wait to see this movie. It looks really great from the trailers I have seen. I've read all the books and enjoyed them a lot, so I am wondering if they plan to make ALL the books into movies, or just this first one. Does anyone know if they are planning to do that? I hope they are!

The kids are signed on to a second movie. The rest will be determined by whether or not they do well at the box office (may be hard to do great because it opens up the same time as King Kong which has a larger demographic to it... but it definitely won't be a flop I don't think).

Anyway, this is my favourite FAVOURITE book of all-time. And from the previews/reviews I expect this to be one of my favourite movies of all time, too. I heard they follow the book extremely close, so that's good. The White Witch looks a bit different than how I imagined her but the actress portrays her as I expected.

Everything about this movie is going to be great. And the little Christmas-y parts will get you in the holiday spirit for sure!!

I hope the movie is good (it better be), but I'll have to wait three-ish weeks to see it.

It should do well, with the Father Christmas tie-in and all.

That's definitely only the trailer, because when she opens it it's just like a normal wardrobe. :P

We're going to be seeing it on Monday... yay!!
I've been looking forward to this movie for forever now.
We would be seeing it during the weekend but bf has to work so.. Monday showing here we come! lol
Be better that way anyway... won't be that many people there to annoy the heck out of us.

Im suprised it got through this era PC filters.
Would be a boring film with no Aslan.
Kids show up.
Kids killed/Corrupted by evil dudes.
Film ends.

Hopefully they wont totally mess this up, been a long time coming, and i hope that even the rather more rabid fans (IE: me) Have no fuel for the anti-disney fires.

Think they produced it to be fair.
Now, all i need is a good Last battle film, and for Transformers to not be totally destroyed (IE: Gets a sequal, with Unicron)
And i can die happy. er.
