The big screen and the small screen... together at last! Hurrah!

Has anyone seen this film? I haven't seen the first half of it but I love what I have seen.
For those of you who don't know what this film it is about, it is Adam Sandler who plays the cartoon boy 'Davey Stone'. He is an amazing basketball player but his parents die and he starts drinking beer and his life goes down the drain. He has been prosecuted for a crime and is about to be sentenced to 10 years when a small man, Whitey Dewhall (sp?), a small, high-voiced, old volunteer referee for kids basketball asks for tpo him be released so that he could help him. Davey isn't grateful at all, but his heart eventually melts and he gets back together with his childhood sweetheart.
I have loved many of Adam Sandler's films but this is my favourite one of all.
The film features such songs as:
'Long Ago': 'Davey: The schoolyard's where we were,
the first time I kissed her.
Jennifer: He thought he got some toungue
Davey: But it was only retainer'
'Technical Foul': 'Davey: can I sleep past 3,
Whitey: if you do you'll get a T
Davey: take a whiz in those flowers,
Whitey: ill say hit the showers'
'Mall Song': 'You labels and logos are wasting your time making me sit here, Cause nothing you can say or do will make me shed a tear.'
'Bum Biddy': 'I went to High School with Whitey
As a joke I told him to meet me at the prom
When he got there I said I can't beleive you though I was serious
So he ran home crying and slow danced with his mom!'
I've just found that the film is on in an hour so I'm taping it. Tell me your opinion if you've seen it or see it after reading this. Warning that there is quite a bit of swearing in the film but nothing completely offensive. It also revealed to me that Adam Sandler is Jewish which I never knew.

Haven't seen it, I'll just any excuse to pull a comic from Shabot 6000, the only reputable source when looking for character inspiration when dealing with the Jewish faith.
You didn't know Adam Sandler was Jewish? Was the Hanukkah song not a hint?

I love the "technical foul" song. it's so random and awesome

It just took a while to get to my head for some reason. Yeah, Technical Foul is good, I like Bum Biddy better though. It's so hard to sing.

My bestest Christmas present ever was when my best friend tracked down the dvd for me after we had seen a trailer for it on the Anger Management video. 8 Crazy Nights is incredibly hard to come by over here in Blighty* but has become my all-time, most favourite movie in the history of me. The bom-biddy-biddy dance cracks me and my friends up every time (got us through the back end of our teenage years *sighs at being 20 this year*
).
*yes, I should be in bed by now.

I have a new favourite bit in the film now, I watched the first half a few days ago.
'You're honour I still have a pretty good jump shot' The he jumps the smallest bit. It's just so funny.

Sweet comic. i definatly need to look that up.
Of course, i really don't agree with the writer. that's his opinion, as i myself liked it, which is my opinion. was sometimes too gross or adult at times, but otherwise very cute and funny.
Adam jewish? No!...okay, i'm kidding.
