Survivor Panama: Exile Islands

Fri Jan 13, 2006 12:52 am

As we all know, the premiere is on Thursday, February 2 at 8PM EST/PT and I'm sure this will unveil a new season of hero's, villains and of course, the idiots.

The main site is up at:

http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivor12/

And here it the summary on the show,

MEET THE NEW SURVIVORS
Stranded on an island off the coast of Panama, 16 strangers must live together and compete for the million-dollar prize. This time, the castaways will begin their competition as four tribes: older men, older women, younger men and younger women. At least one Survivor each week will be banished to a separate island miles away from camp. How will this change the game? Who will outwit, outplay, and outlast all others? Don’t miss a single episode of SURVIVOR: PANAMA--EXILE ISLAND, premiering Thursday, February 2 at 8 pm ET/PT, only on CBS.

Sounds interesting; four tribes but they're going to be formed into two tribes on the second day (Can't remember where I heard it). And the Exile Island is basically an immunity from one Tribal Council.

I am really looking forward to this. I am so glad they are changing it up. I really hope they don't merge into two that early on though. Also, according to the television promos, on Exile Island, there is sometinhg "...that could be key to winning the $1,000,000" (paraphrased)

I don't really care for the Survivor, but I hope the former astronaut wins.

...Aaaaand that would be the recycled-from-season-11 hidden immunity idol.

Well, it seems mildly interesting that they finally change up a 6 year old formula. I'll probably end up watching regardless, just out of boredom. :P

I'm glad that they're changing a major part of the game, because after the 6th survivor or so I stopped watching it because it was getting repetitive and monotonous. This is a nice change; I might watch it to see what it looks like.

I really dislike Survivor....I always tell myself when they start a new one that I will not survive this season of Survivor. Also I don't know about you people but I watch TV to escape reality!!!!!!!

Question though how many seasons have there been?

I believe this is the twelfth season.

And for boredom sake, let's list them all,

Survivor: Borneo
Survivor: The Australian Outback
Survivor: Africa
Survivor: Marequesas
Survivor: Thailand
Survivor: The Amazon
Survivor: Pearl Islands
Survivor: All-Stars
Survivor: Vanuatu
Survivor: Palau
Survivor: Guatemala

This season is,

Survivor: Panama

So, yeah, basically twelve.

Even though they really do need to do my idea already (2 tribes living together)....... I still love Survivor.
I just hope we have more interesting people on the show.
Last season was just a bit boring. I want more scheming!! I want people who worked their butts off physically and mentally to win!
Don't feed them so much! I swear last season it seemed like every single challenge had food.

Aaaand yeah.... I'll be watching it....I just hope it doesn't suck.

Oh, a teeny bit off topic, but Richard Hatch, the winner of the first Survivor, was found guilty of tax evasion. Tax evasion on his million dollar winnings, his rent, and some other stuff. O_o

He'll face up to 13 years in jail (well, that's better than the original maximum of 70 that was predicted) and a large fine. Oooh the drama.

I think that's hilarious.
His own stupid fault for not paying up.[/quote]

hahahaha. That is kinda funny. :P

... I'm excited. I love Survivor. :D

Well, let me be the first to say, this "four tribe" thing isn't as interesting as I thought it'd be. I mean, yes, it's a twist but it's nothing really exciting.

As for the people, Shane (Smoker guy) is just a plain idiot. He knows he won't be able to smoke when he comes on this show and being an avid smoker isn't a good attribute to have when thinking of getting on Survivor (Unless you can control it). I just hate it when people are like "I go through 50 packs a day and I get so mad if I don't and I'm on Survivor, and I'm going to freak!!!". It just makes me want to smack the crap out of them because if you're going to sign up for a show like this, don't complain about your loss of cigarettes. Because you know you won't get any on the island.

[/rant]

And Tina being voted out was stupid; I was secretly voting for Cherie to stay in but Tina is way more of an asset than Cherie is. But personally, I wouldn't either voted out Cherie or Melinda. Neither seem helpful at all.

Fri Feb 03, 2006 4:54 am

The old women just made the biggest mistake in Survivor history that I can currently think of.
OH MY GOD.
TINA?!

They voted out the freaking Lumber Jill?! I don't like Cherie. I hope they lose. Simply because I want them to suffer for what they've done. SUFFER.

On the other hand, I want the fire dancers hair, and my money is now on her cause I like her hair.

I'm rooting for older men/younger women.

Fri Feb 03, 2006 1:42 pm

I like this! I like the island, the four tribe was good, though they are changing that next episode. And the women did what I told them to! They should have kept Tina, but I wanted her to go because I liked Cherie's character more, I can see her being the schemer.

My vote to win: Ruth Marie. She is going to ride people's coat tails all the way to the end.

Fri Feb 03, 2006 3:09 pm

Omg, the older women made the biggest mistake ever! Why vote out the good people? Isn't the statigey to vote out weak people or people who don't do any thing -cough- the lady who wasn't digging during the imunity challenge -cough- first? Then later you vote out the strong people? -sigh- These people just don't get it.

Exile Island...pretty cool. Was the clue that Jeff gave Misty "Wonder why fate has left you behind here"? or was it something else?
