Stargate: SG-1 Spoilers

Wed Mar 15, 2006 3:49 am

So, being in the awsome country of England, I have just watched the season 9 finale for the third time.
And wow. What a finale!

The ori have a working super gate in the milky-way.
A fleet of about a dozen He'taks, an asgard warship (O'neill class) The odessy and the russian ship (both Daedalus class warships) aswell as three Lucian alliance He'taks engage the four Ori transports that come through.
And are utterly annihilated!
The He'taks take one shot. one from their main weapons, the Daedalus classes -With their uber Asgard shielding- Take three.

Gua'ald? Pbbt.
Apophis? HA!
Anubis? well. He was cool.. But hahaha!
Replicators. Phshwwwww

Errr. Hail the Ori?

All of the SG teams really had a rough time.

Ori invaded. They destroyed a Hatak(sp?) in one shot! Even the Asgard lost ships. Looks like Vala will have a little bundle of joy too.

I feel bad for Atlantis. McKay and Ronon are captured. Shepard is MIA. Trip revealed that Atlantis is still around.

Not a good day to be a Tauri.

Yay for interviews with Amanda tapping!

Valas kid eh.
Well. guess what? It's the Ori given physical form.
Not just one, but all of them!

This is the first time, that I have actually felt; Holy poop. this is going to be Bad.
Not even Anubis gave that feeling.

Anubis was evil, but still in the Goa'uld mold. SG-1 has been handling Goa'uld since Ra. A Goa'uld is a Goa'uld unless it is a Tok'ra... or a Jaffa if you get technical.

Holy bloody *bleep* about Vala! Qetesh is such a neat goddess. Why do they have to pick on her?

Nice to find another SG fan.

Ori. They scare me.
As the super gate activated, I thought to myself "C'mon then!"
As the ships came through I though; "Well. Aint that pretty, we get loads of wreckage when we're through with them ^.^
As they fired I though "...oh."
As it struck the odessey I cheered so much. Unitl it hit the He'tak and It went down!
The battle went from bad, to worse, to oh sugar, we are all gonna die!

Ori. Cooler than the Kull warrior.

So true. All of it. I would love to see a Ori vs Kull battle. I would also like to see Ori vs Wraith. One enemy eliminates the other.

You think with all of their past experience at destroying impossible to destroy objects they would of tried something other than shoot at them. Beam nukes everywhere, beam nukes into the stargate, nuke something!

Drive up alongside the ori ships with a ship covered in stargates and dial them all causing the sploosh effect of killingness alongside the enemy ship, I somehow doubt that shields can survive the backwash of the sploosh.

Wed Mar 15, 2006 5:22 am

Considering they built an inter-galactic ubergate of Doom, powered by the singularitie of a collapsed planet, and their ships are powered by the Sci-Fi freakiness of the Ori and their uber Fussion reactors... Possibly not. :P

Besides which, Considering the Daedaluses armenants, they probably were firing Nukes.
Kinda nuke happy is that ship o_O

Prometheus: Dead, half the crew down.
Odessey: Dead. I would imagine with all hands.

It's butt kickin time! :x
I say we get the Asgard here, not like they have the Replicators to worry about is it?!

edit:
Turns out it was the russian ship that was destroyed.
Mindyou that is two totally conflicting reports on the matter, with the second (saying the russians bought it) says that the odessey clashes with the Lucian alliance...?

I actually thought that we would lose at least one ship that way to the super gate.

I'm totally for Asgard backup. Sending only one ship and not it is not even Thor. Any backup would be good. More He'tak. More Asgard. Even a Goa'uld jealous that the Ori are moving in on their territory would be good. I bet they will get help from 'King Arthur' or something like that. If an Ancient shows up, that will be one of the worst cop out ending.

Wed Mar 15, 2006 5:29 am

Well, Ba'al has already offered help, and we all saw Anubis' fleet at the end of season 8, not to mention the Replicator controlled He'taks.
Get off your butts Jaffa council, unite already!
Arthur looks to be making another appearence (Mid season two parter of season ten is called "The Quest" Holy Grail anybody?

edit:
On the 200th episode: "I would say it's going to be not unlike 'Wormhole X-Treme!' We're going to be taking a few potshots at ourselves, but at the same time the audience will certainly be in on the joke. It may also involve the appearance of a face that we've missed for some time."
(Actor Michael Shanks, in an interview with Sci-Fi Talk)

As for the Furlings -- how's this for a newsflash -- we may finally find out about them in Season Ten."

Furlings. The warriors of the alliance... :>

Wed Mar 15, 2006 5:50 am

Furlings?! :o About *bleep*ing time! :x They were mentioned what? Eight/nine seasons ago. They better have some killer tech to be on the same level as the Asgard and Ascended. PS: On this same subject, where the hell are the Nox? We are friends with two of the four. Why not the third one we know about?

Ba'al offered help? Was it in Ethon? If so, I missed that one. Ba'al is so cool. He is the best Goa'uld. Shouldn't he control the Kull now that Anubis is dead?

Wed Mar 15, 2006 6:00 am

Nah, the kulls all kinda went *Pbbbbbt* when Anubis got into the fight with Oma.
He got sidetracked, and they just kinda... Stopped.
And yeah, Twas in Ethon, he was nicking Stargates to stop Priors.
Bit of a stupid plan really, but it worked for a while.

Wed Mar 15, 2006 6:24 am

Right. I forgot about the Kull just stopping.

Another thought about the Goa'uld, why haven't more infiltrated other planets and the like? We know they can sound like normal humans and have plenty of evidence for pretending not to be Goa'uld (Ba'al, Imhotep). I would have thought at least another would hide with the Jaffa and others would hide on other planets. I loved that Col Caldwell got infected and had to get the Goa'uld 'beamed' out of him.

One more offbeat thought: Ori with a Goa'uld and/or Wraith with a Goa'uld would be one of the scariest bad guy combos for a one episode stint (can't be too long or it would get tired fast).

Thu Mar 16, 2006 10:58 pm

Nah, Wraith arent scary.
Just like cockroaches, loads of them.

On a side note, Ori is taken from the Latin for Rising, or - and this bit is applicable- Ascending. :D

(actual word is Ori'ri)
