Star Trek Poll: Who's your cap'n?

Mon May 08, 2006 11:20 pm

I choose Sisko since he had the best character development out of most characters.

List of Starfleet Captains

For other, you may choose anyone that had held the rank of captian in one series or another, even if it is from an alternate timeline. The only restriction is that it has to be Starfleet only. (Sorry.) These include, but are not limited to: Spock, Riker, Sulu, Geordi, Dr Crusher, and Nog.

Have fun!

Captain Kirk, just because I have a deep fascination with the vocal stylings of William Shatner.

Sisko's character had better well have developed, because in the few Deep Space Nine episodes I've seen, he's dull as a History of Magic lecture.

Janeway I've seen a lot of, and she's a jerk.

Kirk I've seen in maybe three episodes, and in one of them, he was hitting on a prepubescent girl. Ew.

Picard is intelligent, snappy, terribly English (yes, I know he's supposed to be French), and generally awesome. Plus, he's a much better role for Patrick Stewart than, say, Gurney Halleck.

Haven't seen the others.

Sisko, hands down. He had integrity but was not such a stickler for the rules as Picard (see: 'In the Pale Moonlight')

He gets better after season 3.
And boy do I wish I could remember that thing he says after he brings the Romulans into the war...

"...And the most damning thing of all? I think I can live with it" * Deletes report of murder and conspiracey to incite war*

Brilliant.

Not to mention what he was like in episodes such as "sacrifice of Angels" "The Fortune favours the bold" and "what you leave behind"

And now I have to go find those Episodes on DVD so I can watch them loads more.

Sacrifice of Angels for the win!

edit: Did it anyway.

Just a small nitpick, but "Endgame" is from Voyager, not Deep Space Nine. But he is good in the finale of Deep Space Nine, "What You Leave Behind", especially with what happens (not saying for spoiler reasons).

Your right!
*kicks self*

Bit late to edit it out too.
Oh well, Endgame was pretty spiffy too, but not enough to redeem Voyager totally.

Great episodes on both of them anyway.

:talktohand: You can't touch Kirk. :P
