Information

- Any band/artist is able to compete (Ranging from as old as Queen to as new as Taylor Hicks). The only thing is that they most have songs with English lyrics. No foreign music, unless they have broken the language barrier or are widely known by people. (Examples, Utada Hikaru and Ayumi Hamasaki)
- You may suggest artists/bands to compete.
- Every Wednesday the votes will be tallied and a new round will be posted.

Pink Floyd versus who? o_o

Thu Jul 06, 2006 5:21 pm

Can't read, eh?

KODA KUMI

She's a pretty popular J-Pop artist. I was gonna do Ayumi Hamasaki, but from what I could tell, she hadn't released anything in a while, so I did Koda Kumi instead. :P

That wasn't what I meant.

That was. ;)

Since her "website" is apparently Nickelback.com... ;P

You posted before I revised my post...and apparently my stupid browser shutting off didn't save it.
...but I still lov--what the?! Where did the Printer Module come from?! o_o;;

And besides, I was trying to be funny. :P

*waddles off to change*

Still voting for one of the groups I was raised on. I just hope it doesn't make me 'just another brick in the wall' :P

Thu Jul 06, 2006 6:04 pm

Aw, come on.. This is no contest.

Thu Jul 06, 2006 6:27 pm

Pink Floyd FTW.

I despise J-Pop. There was a J-Pop channel on my trans-Atlantic flight. I listened to it. It looped every hour and a half. I wanted to kill myself with that music. Or the person snoring next to me. But mostly myself.

Besides, Pink Floyd, the Wall, yay!

:P Well, if you're going to choose an artist that hardly anyone's heard of in Japanese, I nominate La Oreja de Van Gogh. They're a Spanish band (from Spain). Their songs are in Spanish. :o But they're known in Spain and some of South America. :D

My thoughts exactly.

I tried listening to her song but I don't think she has much talent, especially against Pink Floyd.

(On a sidenote, I think this will be the largest landslide for a band in the history of "Versus")

Thu Jul 06, 2006 9:36 pm

Er, Pink Floyd.

Fri Jul 07, 2006 2:06 am

Quite obviously Pink Floyd.

Fri Jul 07, 2006 2:10 am

Pink Floyd, assuming that this is Waters-era Floyd. A monkey playing the spoons sounds better than The Division Bell.

Fri Jul 07, 2006 3:29 am

Pink Floyd hands down again!

Fri Jul 07, 2006 4:03 am

Darnit, I voted for Pink Floyd before I found out Koda had performed in Houston. That automatically makes her cooler, but sadly I can't change my vote.

Pfft. Yeah, you're the same Mark. :P

I know a LOT of Americans who have heard of and love Koda Kumi.
