  • In October of 1977, three days after the release of their sixth CD, a charter plane coming from Greenville, South Carolina (heading to Baton Rouge), crashed in McComb, Mississippi, killing Ronnie Van Zant, Steve Gaines, Cassie Gaines, Dean KIlpatrick (their road manager), and the pilot and co-pilot.
  • Ronnie's brother, Johnny Van Zant now sings lead vocals, and also has a group called Van Zant, with his older brother Donnie.
  • Their singles include "Freebird", "Sweet Home Alabama" and "Gimme Three Steps"

- Every Wednesday the votes will be tallied and a new round will be posted.

Even though I like Stairway to Heaven, that's the ONLY song I like by Led Zeppelin. I hate the lead singer's screaming voice :P
