I love Foreign Films. It is hard to watch them with anyone else I know because they hate having to read subtitles.

Subtitles are worth it for foreign tv programs as then you can understand what they are saying. (Expect when the subtitles are in the same language as the foreign film (e.g a French speaking film with French subtitles) or it in another language that you don't understand. e.g a Japanese speaking film with German subtitles)

I once rented a Korean Film and for some reason it had Spanish subtitles.. I hadn't realized it was not in english.. I ended up just watching it and understanding about half of it.
Purple Butterfly.. Suicide Club... hmm

I'm quite okay with reading subtitles. I've watched quite a number of foreign films halfway before the channel was switched by some guy...(and of course I'll get mad with the guy who switched the channel
). One time I was watching an indian film and was enjoying it...
I often watch chinese films because I can understand them. Of course, I still watch English films more often.
Oh yeah. Once I was watching a French film and trying to learn french from reading the subtitles and listening. Then when it ended I was mimicking and mimicking the french words and people thought I was going nuts!
That's why I loathe (love) neopets!!!!!! No language problem there, you can switch whenever you want!!!

Ohh I love the Amelie Soundtrack! Not that that has to do with foreign films...
But yah. Japanese films are great - Battle Royale, Kung-Fu Hustle, House of Flying Daggers to name a few.
Any recommendations?

Aha. I never pay attention to that little detail, so I should have just said Asian. And I guess I got confused because the girl from House of Flying Daggers is in Memoirs of a Geisha

Yeah, most of the people in Memoirs of a Geisha are Chinese. I guess Japanese people can't speak English well enough to be understood x)
I don't really pay attention to where the film is from; I'll watch pretty much anything, and if it entertains me, it entertains me. I don't like movies from other countries more just because they're from other countries. Inversely, though, I won't refuse to watch something just because it's subbed. That'd be hypocritical with the amount of anime I watch.
Kung Fu Hustle = BEST ACTION MOVIE EVER
