Lord of the Rings

Just watched the 3rd one again last night...
What do you think of it?
I think it's a movie that is exciting when you are watching it, but after watching and you reflect back about it, it's quite boring. All fight...quite action packed.
I still prefer the 3rd one...so action packed...and more exciting... :P

I really love the movie version of LOTR

They stayed pretty true to the books. They omitted some important characters and events, but for obvious (time) reasons. I never get bored of them. I always cry at certain points, even though I know it's coming. :D

I've watched all three of them numerous times. I just love the LOTR storyline. I can't decide which one is my favorite; I'd have to rewatch them again to decide. It does suck that characters had to be omitted.. I wish they could've had Tom Bombadil in there; but I know it didn't really have a huge impact in the overall storyline.

Fellowship of the Ring, Extended is where it's at.

But I always did prefer the books. :P

Actually, I would've rather had Sharky aka Saruman and the dead Shire in there, that would've been more interesting. After all, they did show part of the smurf burning in Galadriel's seeing water.

But yeah, I absolutely love the movies. I read the book, and sure it's better than the movie, but the movie makes it... funner. :P

yeah...the only omitted thing that steamed me was the Battle at Hobbiton. They should have found a way to get that in there. Maybe not so many fake endings with Frodo and Sam...lol. But overall, great movies.

I remember watching that in the theatre and saying "man, they still have to go through the battle of Hobbiton and it's already been so long" They left it out for good reasons but it would be nice to see.

I have the extended versions of all three, and while I can't stand the books (BOOOOORING T_T) I love the movies^^

I love both the books and the movies. I read the books probably once a year, and I watch the movies when I can. The extended versions are better than the theater releases, just because of the little things that are added. The ending for Return of the King kind of sucked in my opinion, but oh well. I really wanted the Battle of Hobbiton, but I suppose I should be happy with what we got with the rest of the movies being so well done. I really wish Peter Jackson could film "The Hobbit". I think he would do it really well, and I love that book too.
