Most manufactured musicians?

Of all the test-tube artists out there, which do you think is the most artificial?

I would put it between the New Kids on the Block and the Spice Girls, but I'll pick the Spice Girls because I can't see them redeeming themselves in their later careers.

Great litmus test: if the band's debut album includes a song about itself, it is not an organic formation.

Any pop Idol obviously. Any rap artist obviously. Any emo obviously. Too many artist just buy into an archetype and go from there.

Well, since the boy bands have faed away, there's not *That* much to choose from, although I would say the people that started their careers from Disney seem to be the most artificial.

Of today, though? Fallout Boy, hands down (and the Disney singers that are still around).

I agree with ^! It's hard to be more fabricated than a band that was put together for a TV show.

Umm, pretty much any singer/actress that has been on the Disney Channel. And also Britney Spears. I love it when her handlers go into damage control overdrive after she does something crazy.
