The big screen and the small screen... together at last! Hurrah!

This past year we've seen a lot of comebacks, so I figured, why not make a poll to see who's comeback was the best (In your opinion of course)?
Personally, I believe Evanescence had the best comeback (Shocker, I know) but I do like a lot of the artists/bands who have comeback into the scene (Justin Timberlake, Jojo, The Killers, etc...).

I think Justin Timberlake, with Nelly Furtado, Beyoncé and Christina Aguilera being very close.

My question is when did any of those people leave? Anyways, in all seriousness, I don't think any of them have made a true "comeback".

The only ones on that list who could possibly qualify for a "comeback" would be Evanescence, Nelly Furtado, Christina Aguilera, and Janet Jackson. Janet Jackson wouldn't quite qualify either, as her music is hardly ubiquitous- merely on par with her post-Halftimegate album. Everyone else has stayed in the spotlight or has released something within the past two years. I don't really like any of them (to the first two, anymore, to the latter two, never did), but in terms of a big comeback, it'd have to be Nelly Furtado, after overcoming a poorly selling album (which I liked! *sniff*).

My vote goes to Christina.
Maybe I'm just weird but I love the new sassy "Golden Hollywood Age" look. She just looks so much more...classy.

Is it sad that when I first looked at this list, I was like "what do you mean by comeback? They never did"?
The first thing that came to my head was All Saints. Then again, I didn't even really know they made a comeback until my sister was like "hey, there's a new song by All Saints!" So, I'm voting for Nelly Furtado because that was also a really good comeback.

I would say The Killers.
IMO, Justin Timberlake should be shot (but not killed) and forced to listen to all his songs on a continuous loop.

I don't even think many of those people (Beyonce, The Killers, Gwen Steffani, and Evanescence) were even gone, were they? The only person that really strikes me as coming back is Nelly Furtado (well, and Christina), but only because people seem to have some sort of obsession with the word "promiscuous".

Donnie Wahlberg, fool. No, he didn't make a comeback to pop music, but he knows better what to do now that he's lost his youthful looks than any music idol I've seen.

I'm saying Christina, even though I don't really like her, her "comeback" has probably been the most sucessful. Lord only knows why...

A lot of these artists were gone from the spotlight, however, some remained because of tabloids but music wise, they weren't "in the scene".
Justin Timberlake's "Justified" was released in 2003.
New album "FutureSex//LoveSounds" was released in 2006.
Evanescence's "Fallen" was released in 2003.
New album "The Open Door" was released in 2006.
Nelly Furtado's "Folklore" was released in 2003.
New album "Loose" was released in 2006.
Beyonce's "Dangerously In Love" was released in 2003.
New album "B'Day" was released in 2006.
Christina Aguilera's "Stripped" was released in 2002.
New album "Back To Basics" was released in 2006.
Shakira's "Laundry Service" was released in 2001.
New album(s) "Oral Fixation Vol. 1" and "Oral Fixation Vol. 2" were released in 2005.
Gwen Stefani's "L.A.M.B" was released in 2004.
New album "The Sweet Escape" was released in 2006.
The Killers' "Hot Fuss" was released in 2004.
New album "Sam's Town" was released in 2006.
Janet Jackson's "Damita Jo" was released in 2004.
New album "20 Y.O." was released in 2006.
So, in short, a lot of these arists came back after being gone for about 2-3 years. Most of them being gone for 3 years or more.

I'd say Christina only because shes not a hooker anymore.

I don't think Beyonce or Gwen count, because while their new CDs hadn't released, singles were still being released off the CDs.
I'm voting Justin Timberlake, actually. He did an amazing job on what I've heard from FutureSex/LoveSounds. I like the dancey-stuff. XD

After looking at the list that Ammer supplied, the only one I could begin to consider a comeback is Shakira. It's pretty common these days to release an album every two or three years instead of a new album every year. I personally don't consider two or three years between albums to qualify as a true comeback.

The only people on the list that I actually justify as having a comeback would be Justin Timberlake and Nelly Furtado.
But I voted for Christina because she's amazing, and I don't care if she's a hooker or not. It adds to the appeal, damnit.
