Wow, theres a lot of utter rubbish there.

And where pray tell is Beast wars?
The show that dared to have season long story arcs, deal with death and religion in a serious manner and still manage to be aimed at kids.

I voted for House MD. =\ But seriously, not much of a selection. Not even Lost or 24 or Prison break are on there. I don't think this poll is very local (i.e. US or Canada). I don't even know a show named La Femme Nikita, and it's like the third highest voted show there.

Well Stargate SG-1 would happen to be joint longest running Sci-fi ever (Stupid X-files) That will be presently getting a trio of films after the end of it's Tenth season.
Coincidently, I voted for Stargate.

Doctor who -For some reason) isn't counted as longest running inspite having something like Twenty eight Seasons and a slew of Films, but I think that may be due to its... Hectic series run. (On and off for a few decades now, whereas X-files and Stargate have been continuous)
