The big screen and the small screen... together at last! Hurrah!

This movie was done by the man who did "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon". It was BEAUTIFUL. I highly suggest it. A cookie to somebody who can find the vessel of symbolism concerning the truth of the stories being told.

I remember seeing the preview for that movie and it looked really good. I would like to see it soon.

If you mean the director, they're not done by the same person. Hero was directed by Zhang Yi Mou (also directed Raise the Red Lantern); Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon was directed by Ang Lee (Eat Drink Man Woman, Sense and Sensibility).

I saw this movie 2 years ago, and I loved it. I prefer it over Crouching Tiger. And Spiral is right... they're directed by 2 different people Fiddelysquat ^^

My cousin lent us the Chinese version with subtitles so I saw it a long time ago. It really was beautiful. My favorite scene is the fight in the forest, with all the leaves whirling around. It was gorgeous.
Deja vu. I could have sworn I said the same thing in a different thread.

That was rubbish, how could she possibly do that with her sleeves? Jet Li is the best. The arrows are wicked, and the ending, for me, was nice.

That's just classic stuff from Chinese novels, and for once I got to see it in live-action, so that's why I liked it. ^^
