Topsy-Turvy

It's a movie about William Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan (Makers of H.M.S Pinnafore and Pirates of Penzance, the latter of which is a movie as well as an operetta) and the making of The Mikado, a humorous operetta about Japanese life. Sorta. I think it's PG-13, but it's a very good movie.

I used to watch it just so I could learn the songs, but now I've paid attention to the plot it's pretty fun. I really like the guy who doesn't want to part with his corset- He's so funny! (He made a cameo in Spider-man 2 as an actor in the play MJ was in.)

There's some very seperated plotlines, my favorite of which is the one concerning the actoress for Yum-Yum. She has a cool voice XP.

My aunt thinks it's depressing, but it really depends on which parts you pay attention to the most. It is a bit down in parts, but most of it is humorous.

Also- y'know Peter Pettigrew in the POA movie, the sadistic costumer's creation? The same actor is a main character in this movie, only in a good costume!

So... see it... tell me what ye think.
Anyone already seen this movie?
