Who else loves this show? I'm obsessed. I just bought the second season box set. I'm soooo looking forward to it starting again. The cliffhanger was...wow.

I don't think the second season was as good as the first, because they reused a lot of plots, but during the last two months or so of the show, it got really interesting.

I actually got into it last year. After the first season came out I decided to rent it on Netflix...I was obsessed. I'm all up to date on all of the episodes now though.

Oh my goodness. I absolutely can't wait for the new season to start! I'm in love with that show as well, even if I can't stand Mischa Barton and I don't think Rachel Bilson is all that hot. I rather miss everyone's characters from the first season -- Ryan as the brooding and aloof guy, Seth as the dorky and quirky outcast, etc. Now Ryan is just looking out for Seth's butt, seeing as he has all these crappy and lame ideas. I didn't like the second season much at all, but I'm excited and hopeful for the next one.
Now if only I could remember what happened in the last few episodes of the last season....

I love The O.C. It's such an awesome show, although Seth really gets on my nerves sometimes, the things he does I'm suprised Summer hasn't slapped the crap out of him yet.

Hopefully Season 3 isn't on at the same time as Survivor.

Second season: Trey and Marissa hang out while Ryan and Seth are visiting "the nana" in Miami and they get drunk and Trey kind of throws himself at Marissa. The guy Kirsten can't help but have a 'thing' for leaves and Kirsten gets in an alcohol-related accident. Caleb dies, they have a funeral and Kirsten's drinking problem gets worse so Sandy decides to send her to rehab. Hailey is there as well, (for the funeral) and they have an intervention for her. Ryan finds out about Trey and Marissa and goes to confront him and Trey threatens him with a gun he has from some drug deal Jess planned for him to do. Ryan gets all 'old-school Ryan Atwood' and starts beating him up, Trey starts strangling him, Marissa comes and tells Trey to stop, but he won't, so she takes the gun and shoots Trey. Then Seth and Summer come in and are all shocked...that's the end of the episode. Oh, and Jimmy comes back for the funeral and to be with his family and Julie says they should give their relationship another try.

I wonder why Lindsay and Kaitlin weren't at the funeral. Lindsay was his daughter, and Kaitlin is like the forgotten child.

I used to really love Seth...mostly during season one. Now all he talks about is himself and Summer, I just want to slap him, he didn't even care much about Caleb dying or Kirsten's drinking problem >_<.

I agree about Mischa though. Maybe it's just her character I can't stand- the spoiled rich kid who does everything she can to smurf her mom off. Plus, she's not a very good actress.

Mischa is a terrible actress, but my guy friends watch the show for her and Rachel Bilson. Sigh... they'll never change, haha.
Lindsay was annoying; I'm glad they didn't bring her back for anything. She whined too much. And I feel sorry for Kaitlin's character -- she's at boarding school, even though I don't remember when they sent her off. I suppose they just didn't think she mattered enoug to "fly her back" for the funeral. Ah well, the twisted mind of Julie Cooper can't really be explained.
