I think hurley's a moron.

Charlie: "hey hurley can i have some peanut butter"
Hurley (looking anxious): "No man"
Charlie: "Thanks a bunch"
Hurley: "Hem hem emm     "

Moron. "sorry charlie, we have to ration it all for everyone"

So instead, they put the fattest guy on the island IN CHARGE OF THE FOOD, and then, when he's too spineless to tell anyone they cant have food, goes around randomly and wastefully distribiting all the goods to people.

Hooray.

Lets just hope the iron filing smoke monster comes and eats hurley.

Hey now!! Don't be bustin on my Hurley!! :P

Seriously though..... what the heck was up with the fat comment? So just b/c he's fat means that he's all of a sudden going to gobble down all the food?

Anyways.... He didn't want to be the badguy that had to tell people no. Was it a bit "spineless".. yeah sure if you want to look at it that way..... but I think he did the right thing.
Rationing out that food wasn't going to accomplish anything b/c they weren't starving anyway. They had food... the food in the base was just a luxery.

I don't get what you're saying. First of all, the Others can probably also type numbers, it's not that hard. Secondly, I thought they wanted the children so they could brainwash them or whatever it is they do.

Remeber...
1) Hurley is a fictitious character in one of the greatest tv shows ever made
2) He said no because he dwelled in his past, I bet you do the same.

Anyways, tonight's episode was just okay. There were some aspects of it that I loved, and others that I was just so 'bleh' about.

First off, let me just say that I'm so happy with what Kate did. I mean, I'm not happy, but, I am. (Oy, I'm off to a bad start.) Going into this whole thing, we knew Kate did something really bad, obviously. But we've already seen her crash a car, steal a car, sort of kill a guy, and rob a bank. So I had really low expectations for her big crime -- I mean, if she just killed someone, it's not something so dramatic like "We finally find out what Kate did in tonight's episode!" But lemme tell you, I was pleasantly surprised. She murdered her seemingly-fake-but-really-real dad by EXPLODING HIM (lol) and collecting the insurance money for her beaten-ex-Brady-Bunch mother. WOW! Totally exceeded my expectations.

But that was it. I was really expecting Kate to be really affected by her crime, and she was -- but the girl went CRAZY!! The whole Jack kiss thing, I'm totally confused with. Why'd she kiss him? She thought Sawyer was Wayne, not Jack. I really don't get it. And the horse -- well, that's just plain weird. But now I'm thinking, apparently everybody is seeing crazy things on the island in pairs. First Rose/Jack, then Sayid/Shannon (I miss ya, boo!), and now Sawyer/Kate? Odd.

I for sure thought Michael was gonna mess around with the computer so much that the blast doors were gonna shut just as they watched the strip in the Orientation video. Definitely. But that twist... oooh, what a shocker! But Michael's still my least favorite character. No plot twist can change that.

Shannon's funeral -- boring. I really wanted to see the reactions of more people, like when Boone died, or even ScottSteve. Claire wasn't even crying. CLAIRE. Something's wrong here. And it seemed like the number of the survivors is dwindling. That did NOT look like 40+ survivors, or even 30+ (though I doubt there were 20 people missing inside the hatch...). Anybody got a screen cap to count them?

When's Cindy coming back?

I have a new theory that the flashbacks are flashFORWARDS... okay, never mind.

And am I the only one who needs just a little more Hurley and Charlie action in my weekly Lost fix? Not that kind of action... I mean, the action as in their awesome humor. Hurley said something hilarious in this episode when he was talking to Jack, but I totally forgot what it was. EDIT: Hurley: "So, Rose's husband is white. Didn't see that one comin'."

First, the tv show will focus as should be predicted as the love triangle between Jack, Kate and Sawyer. The kiss is typical reaction from a female being vulernable in tv...but then again, why did Kate seem to want to BE with Sawyet when he was in critical condition. I think the thinking he was Wanye was only part of the reason.

I think I forgotten something, what did Rose and Jack see together thay was odd?

The number of survivors, IMO, is irrelevant in the show because the first few shows they showed a LOT of survivors, then they focus into the characters making it seem only 8 or so survived, until you see a lot of them standing playing "golf" and then the season finale where bizarre things happens.

Gah, I don't want any of the original cast to die, but Shannon really didn't really have much to contribute to the group, and not sure if she really accomplish anything. I was more thinking everyone is still in shock at how she died then the fact that she isn't coming back. (Wonder if she can come back as another halutionation(sp?) or even a ghost!)

I'm mad that Kate kissed Jack and then scurried away from him with a horrified look on her face. I like her and I like him, but if she starts toying with him like that, she's just going to mess him up and he doesn't deserve that. Plus, she's going to drive him to Ana-Lucia and that is just a fate worse than death. :x

Isn't that a typical depiction of girls? Though seeing Jack hurt and him having another fist fight with Sawyer might be a seasonal thing.

One word...whoa.

Shollia wrote:Even though she was uber obnoxious this episode... I still like the character Ana.
I think they should've given her a more interesting back story though.
That whole cheesy line of "I was pregnant" thing was just bad and not very dramatic at all.
Although her walking up to him after she shot him and pumping him with a efw more bullets was nice :D

Seriously though.... the writers really must want people to hate this character.
First.. they have her pounding one of the most popular characters on the show, Sawyer.
Then what do they do this one? Have her yet again being a big ole witch to yet another extremely popular character Sayid.
Yeah... way to go writers!!
Now all you need is that big ole blinking neon sign above her head that says "HATE HER" and it'll all be set!

Cool, I'm not the only one who thinks so. I had a friend who grabbed me by the shoulders and told me, "I hate her!!"

I told her, "You're supposed to!"

When I'm back in school, I will paraphase your quote :p

First... welcome to PPT!

Second, no we don't really post any spoilers here. But once a new episode has aired, we all go mad posting about what's happened.

I was expecting a new episode tonight, but football is going to be on. BAH! Who needs football?! Only one more week to wait, though.

Wed Jan 04, 2006 8:41 pm

And I can't awit for next week!!
Mr. Echo seems to slam Charlie into a tree asking where that drug plane was :o
NOOOO Mr. Echo!!! Don't be a drug dealer/lord/trafficer!!!!
Well... even if he may be.. I just hope he doesn't turn into a big ole butthead.
I'd love to see him interact with Locke some more... those 2 together.. there's just uber coolness going on heh.

I'm curious to know what they're gonna do about lil Miss Rodriguez though since she obviously has a serious drinking problem. I remember reading all of the times she's been stopped for DUI... it's pretty sad and pathetic.
I hope they're getting her some help.. along with the other girl who also got pulled for DUI. *shakes head*
Just boggles my brain that these people would risk a role on one of the most popular shows.

Probably that Rose Bowl. College Football is a demi-religious experience to many people, especially in the American South. This particular game would be very special.

Regarding LOST, I've only seen one episode, and even though I didn't really get into it, its having Michelle Rodriguez was enough for me to watch. 0:)

Ugh. I’m patiently waiting for next week as the new episodes start up again.

If memory serves me we left off with Micheal and walt chatting on the computer that should be using for absolutely anything but entering the magic numbers.

There is a horse on the island that kate and sawyer may have or may have not imagined.

Jack and Ana lucia reunite.

Ana Lucia lost her child when she was shot which explains why she was so concerned about the kids being taken.

Shannon's dead because of Ana.

Sayid is in mourning.

Eco and John are now best friends because they are the men of faith.

The others...well they're there but we don’t know what they are up to.

The security system is supposedly coming back.

I’m sure I’ve missed something as they are so many unanswered questions. [/list]

Dharma initative dont connect?

Ah! it Beeps! always beeping!
And now i forget the numbers.

edit: Got a pic, its a biggen though
See. No lie.

Entering the Numbers gets a new screen

that asks for an ID code.
Anyone?

I don't know if this is true or not, but the whole Dhrama Initiative website is supposedly a fake website and doesn't really have much meaning. Read around a few forums and their members claim that it's a fake website and not an offical one, so it really just leads to deadends.

Thu Jan 12, 2006 2:37 am

To all who will watch:

Be wary at 36 minutes into the show.

*heart pounds*

Thu Jan 12, 2006 3:33 am

Ok when can we start talking about the show? Do we have to wait for the west coast? lol. j/k I'll be a good girl. :battar:

Thu Jan 12, 2006 6:23 am

Well, I'm on Pacific Standard Time, and I just finished watching it, so I'd say its safe to discuss the episode. ;)

Wow, Eko's scary as a drug lord. I started getting nervous for Charlie when he was giving Eko the runaround. lol

Good episode. Kinda predictable, with the dead brother in the plane (I figured it out about halfway through), but I'm glad I know what Eko's deal is now. I still love him. hehe

I had mixed feelings when Claire kicked Charlie out of her hut. Part of me was like "Wow... harsh..." but then I thought "Psh, whatever, he's been a total jerkwad lately." I wonder what he's doing with his stash-o-figurines. My husband theorized that he's saving them until they're rescued, and then he's going to sell the drugs.

Oh! I can't believe they showed us the monster/smoke thing!! :o Did anyone else catch the images flickering inside it? Weeeird...

Looking forward to next week. :D I hope Michael doesn't get everyone killed. :(

Thu Jan 12, 2006 6:33 am

Yeah, everyone's been saying that they see Walt and/or Shannon or possibly more people in the smoke, but I couldn't! Maybe I just have bad eyesight.

And indeed, Eko is scary. Especially when he slashed two guys' throats at once. x_x

Did Charlie grab those figurines after Eko offered him another one? I blinked once and I kinda missed it. The episode today was formatted weirdly too- all the names were cut off in the beginning. Maybe they left it in HD format or something.

I'm a little more interested in next week's "circle of fire" thing rather than Michael gunning everyone, but it's definitely gonna be worth watching. :D

YAY LOST!!!

Tonight's episode was a bit preditable but still pretty dern awesome!
I'm still loving Mr. Echo... he's such a cool character.

Such a tough guy when he was a drug lord or whatever... that part where he sliced both of those guys' throats was pretty harsh.. but also cool heh.

And I saw those images in the monster too! It was when we were seeing the back? well more like through it towards Echo. There were these white flashes. Grr wish I had recorded it so I could pause and see what it was.
That was a pretty cool moment though.
Really reminded me of the movie The Abyss when the aliens take over the water and snake it through their corridors and blah blah etc.

And seriously.... I can't stand freaking Charlie anymore.
I think I hate him more than Kate now...
He's such a slimey little weasel.... that scene at the end where we see his large stash of statues just peeved me off.
I wished Echo had beaten him with his "Jesus stick"... :x

Anyways... this episode so made me cry. Even though it was predictable with Echo and his brother... it still made me sob like a baby when he saw that necklace on the corpse...

EDIT:
Saw someone link to this page with pics of the smoke monster. Some pretty interesting stuff in some of them!
